Capricorn (22 December – 19 January)
The planets are starting to shift away from the steady, stable earth signs but not completely.
This is important for you because your sign of Capricorn is an earth sign and you need security and stability in your life to enjoy yourself fully.
As June begins, communication planet Mercury is in Taurus and the sector of your chart which rules all the good things in life.
This includes romance, children, creative projects and entertainment. Mercury is completing its transit through this part of your chart until June 12th.
You might find that something you put on hold a couple of months ago is back and linked to the areas mentioned above. This might be a lover, a pregnancy, a hobby or a desire to do something you love. This time around you are more committed and whatever you begin is likely to stick.
The other two planets in earth signs are Jupiter, the planet of opportunity and growth, in Virgo and Pluto, the planet of transformation, in your own sign of Capricorn. Together these two planets represent big (Jupiter) power (Pluto) and they highlight the sectors of your chart connected to travel and study, personal goals and aims.
The key date in June is the 26th when there’s a stunning trine aspect between Jupiter and Pluto and more importantly this is the third and final connection between these two planets. They first met in October 2015, they connected a second time in March 2016 and this is their final triumph.
Mark this occasion by doing something special in your life and saying yes to adventure or a new experience. When you commit with passion, you are more likely to see something through to the end.
It really is important this month to focus on the things you love and to make the most of life on a daily basis. Practice the art of gratitude and appreciate simple pleasures. This is what the earth signs do well, yourself included.
This is especially important because there’s also some challenging astrology this month. This will be evident during the time of the New Moon on June 5th. The New Moon takes place in Gemini, the sign which rules your work, your lifestyle and your health. New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings, a chance to start afresh, to do things differently.
Yet this New Moon is also part of a Grand Cross pattern in the sky which pulls in 6 of the 10 planets. This can create tension or conflict and you might find you’re involved in a situation which feels impossible or stuck or you’re up against tough opposition.
Sometimes it’s hard to see your way forward especially if fear or doubt kicks in. You feel as if you’re going round in circles and instead of finding answers, you encounter more questions. If this is the case for you, it’s important to calm down and take a step back.
Do whatever you can to quieten your mind and if you can get away for a holiday, trip or a change of scene, make it happen. What’s going to benefit you most is to change your perspective on your situation.
This is also because the Grand Cross highlights the four mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. Mutable signs are flexible, there’s room for movement and you can change things around. So explore your options, ask for advice and keep searching for answers. This might be with regard to your working life, your routine, your lifestyle, your health or well-being. What do you want to shake up, where do you want to do things differently?
One of the biggest planetary aspects this month involves your ruling planet Saturn in your previous sign of Sagittarius. Saturn is square to Neptune in Pisces on June 18th and this is a backdrop or theme to your life. These two planets first got together in November 2015 and they will meet one more time in September 2016.
This is about communication in your life, your mind and how you see the world around you. Being one of the earth signs, you are not always comfortable when your ideas, beliefs or goals are shifting. You like to have definitive answers and you’re not always happy dealing with what is unknown.
Yet for the sake of your sanity, on some level you have to let things be now. You have to accept that other people won’t always agree with you and to understand that diversity has its benefits. Whether your beliefs are challenged this month, you lose your way with a spiritual or religious path or you feel you’re swimming against the tide, relax and try going with the flow.
This might also mean exploring an alternative path either with regard to your work or your health. Keep your options open and be willing to explore a different mindset. The Full Moon on the 20th will point the way forward.
Finally this month, your attention turns towards close relationships from June 17th onwards. This is the date when Venus, the planet of love and relating, enters Cancer and your relationship sector. Three days later, at the Solstice on June 20th, the Sun joins Venus in this same sector of your chart.
This is gorgeous for love whether you’re in a relationship or looking to love. Make the most of your close relationships and don’t take love for granted. Allow romantic Venus to put the sparkle back into your love life.
There is a possibility now that love and friendship are linked. Passion planet Mars is in Scorpio and your friendship sector throughout June but until June 29th, Mars is retrograde or on go slow.
The turning point at the end of the month could unleash a torrent of strong emotions and if you’ve been keeping your feelings secret, it’s time to express your heartfelt desire. The same goes with someone close to you so don’t be surprised if you receive a declaration of love.
