This is because January is eclipse month and the Solar Eclipse on the 6th falls in your star sign Capricorn. Eclipses are game-changers, they offer a new dimension and a fresh perspective. The eclipse on the 6th is part of an eclipse cycle which began in July 2018 and completes in July 2020. These eclipses cut across the Cancer/Capricorn axis of the zodiac, bringing change to you and your close relationships.
Yet, this month, the Solar Eclipse is in Capricorn. Therefore, it’s about you. What a powerful way to celebrate your birthday month. Look out for new beginnings and put yourself first, ready or not.
In fact, you may have to step up and take on a new responsibility or role in your life. This is because, during the Solar Eclipse, the Sun and Moon are wedged between your planet, Saturn, and the planet of power and transformation, Pluto. This isn’t an easy planetary line-up by any means. In fact, Saturn and Pluto are two of the tougher planets.
You may need to confront a situation in your life that’s about power and control or put new rules and boundaries in place that support you.
Duty and responsibility are twin themes during the eclipse period, whether you’re caring for someone older, you’re a single parent or you have other duties or responsibilities in your life. As your planet Saturn is one of the key players, it’s hard to avoid being involved.
You could also decide to get strict with yourself when it comes to your health and fitness, your personal routine. You might have personal goals and ambitions lined up that are going to require grit and determination to see them through to completion.
This is a good way to channel the eclipse energy. Take care, however, that you’re not an overly harsh taskmaster. Ask yourself whether some of the commitments you’re making or the mountain you’re about to climb are going to be worth the effort. At the same time, you could find it’s at home and within your family or with regard to your past, where significant changes have a knock-on effect in your life. Planets in Capricorn and Aries clash throughout January, most significantly on the 21st, the day of the Lunar Eclipse.
