You’re ruled by the Moon so eclipses are especially powerful and the second in a pair of eclipses takes place on 4th June. It’s a lunar or Full Moon eclipse cutting across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis. This follows on from the solar or New Moon eclipse which took place on 20th May in Gemini. It’s worth having a think what happened back then. Eclipses are often about one door closing for another door to open; ask who or what is being eclipsed or whether hidden information has come to light.
Solar eclipses focus on inner change and as last month’s eclipse was in Gemini and the most hidden sector of your chart, for you this is about solitude, retreat, inner work and spirituality. This month’s eclipse picks up the same themes but includes work, your everyday routine, health and your well-being. It’s about getting the basics of life right and much of this depends on how you view yourself internally. Do you have a strong relationship with your inner self? Do you know how to still your mind, focus on the positive, love yourself unconditionally and be kind and gentle to your soul? For most of us, inner work takes time and effort and is a process of deep learning.
Venus is also currently in Gemini, although retrograde, i.e. effectively on go slow, and on the 5th/6th of June, there’s a much talked about Venus transit of the Sun. When a planet’s retrograde, it’s a good time to be reflective, to turn inwards and not to busy yourself so much with external events. Venus is the Goddess of love so here again is a signal that feelings of value and self worth are important to your personal development. It’s a perfect time to go on a workshop, read a self-help or inspirational book or arrange counselling if it feels appropriate to you. If you’re interested in yoga, meditation or any other form of relaxation, prioritise such activities and try to organise your schedule so you’re less busy and have more time for yourself.
Jupiter, planet of opportunity, also enters Gemini on the 11th June where it will remain until June 26, 2013, so you have a long period of personal development, self analysis and being reflective. If you can take a sabbatical or volunteer or do something completely different with your life, it’s perfect timing to see what opportunities are out there.
It’s not all inner work this month, however, as Mercury, planet of communication is in your sign of Cancer from the 7th-26th and the Sun enters Cancer late on 20th June. The Sun’s move in to Cancer heralds the summer solstice and the longest day of the year, which takes place at 23:59 GMT on the 20th June 2012.
Mercury’s the chatter planet, it’s about communication, talking, gathering information and being sociable. You may have some big decisions to make now and, in some way, your career/vocation and a significant relationship in your life are linked. This may be your partner if you’re married or in a long-term relationship or someone you work with or another key player in your life. This is because on the 24th June, there’s the first of a long run of Uranus/Pluto squares which continue until 2015. In brief, Pluto in Capricorn = corporations/govt versus Uranus in Aries = revolution/individual rights. We’re already witness to major change in many countries of the world.
For you personally, Uranus is at the top of your chart ruling your career and Uranus is a breakthrough planet. It brings the unexpected, it rules technology and it’s a perfect symbol for being self-employed, freelance and doing your own thing. Pluto is in Capricorn and your opposite sign, so the spotlight’s on power and relationships and how that plays out for you individually. If your birthday falls in June, you may already have experience of the Uranus/Pluto square; sudden changes at work, a domineering boss, reinventing your vocation and what you do, a partner who’s been made redundant or some other way that this symbolism is playing out in your own life.
This month, Mercury clashes with the Uranus/Pluto on the 11th/12th and the Sun on the 29th, so take note of what happens on or around these dates as well as on the 24th itself, when the first Uranus/Pluto square is exact. You may find that it’s what happens in the external events of your life that triggers a need to be more authentic and is the catalyst to a period of self re-examination. This is a big month for many people but for you there is the chance to rise to the challenge and take a closer look at who you are and what key changes you need to make to improve your life for the better.
