There are different reasons why October is lining up to be an easier month than September and if you experienced a dramatic time during last month’s eclipses, then you’ll be more than ready to kick back and take life at a slower pace.
This is definitely advised in the first week of the month and with Venus in generous-hearted Leo, you can allow yourself to be a little bit indulgent.
Venus remains in this sector of your chart until the 8th and is a perfect symbol for treating yourself and the ones you love. It doesn’t have to be wildly expensive but a gift’s a gift and comes with a high feel-good factor.
Venus has been in Leo and your personal money sector for most of the last five months since early June and once Venus leaves this part of your chart, you might have to rein in your spending or certainly look more closely at your outgoings and expenses.
One area of your life that might have proved costly of late is your home and family. Whether there have been been unexpected household expenses or your kids have cost you a fortune, look at ways you can spend less rather than more.
Mercury, the communication planet, has also been on go slow in Libra and your home and family sector and remains retrograde until the 9th. This can be a time when appliances break down, hence the extra costs, and nothing seems straightforward whilst the planet of mischief is up to its tricks.
If there’s something specific you want to get sorted with regard to your home or your family, wait until on or near the 9th before you try and do so. Often when Mercury turns direct, this coincides with new information that comes to light. This is especially significant for you if you’re in the process of moving home or looking for somewhere new to live. Mercury’s change of direction on the 9th promises to be a positive turning point or at least you find out for definite whether a move is on or off.
The 13th is another key date for these areas of your life and your domestic situation as this is the day of the New Moon and this month it takes place in Libra. This would be brilliant for a family get-together, a party or celebration. It’s also a good day if you need to make a major purchase for your home.
The New Moon is synonymous with new beginnings and the chance to make a fresh start. If you’ve been putting off a big conversation with someone in your family, here’s your opportunity to speak up.
It’s a good date for agreements too as Mercury is in a positive aspect with Saturn, the planet of commitment on the same day. If someone’s been indecisive recently, this is all about to change. If you’ve been waiting to hear someone’s answer, this too will be forthcoming. Even if it is a No, at least you’ll finally hear where you stand and you can start to make plans on the back of this knowledge.
Communication in general is a powerful factor for you this month as the planets begin to stack up in Virgo and your communication sector. Venus (relating) joins Mars (action) and Jupiter (opportunity) in Virgo on the 8th and this is a brilliant month to reach out to others and to join in with a community, either on- or off-line.
If you’ve been feeling isolated of late, here’s your chance to change things around and have other people close by who can help you out or be there for advice or fun. Same goes if you’ve been meaning to catch up with a sibling or be more sociable with the neighbours. When you have people close to home who are there for you, it’s a boost in itself.
