Cancer (21 June – 22 July)
The beginning of the month is a good time to act fast when it comes to securing a job, a contract or sorting out finances. As March begins both Mercury, the communication planet, and Venus, the planet of relating, are in Aquarius and your joint finance sector.
Most importantly, Venus makes two helpful planetary aspects to Saturn and Uranus, both of which are in work sectors of your chart.
These take place on the 1st and 3rd of March so look out for someone who can help you, someone who has your best interests at heart. If you’ve been meaning to get financial advice, jump to it. The more you can achieve during this first period of the month, the better and you’ll find out why later in your monthly horoscope.
March is most important for being Pisces’ month. The Sun has already entered your fellow water sign of Pisces and it remains in this sector of your chart until the 20th of March. Pisces rules any area of your life which broadens your horizons, physically, mentally or spiritually. It’s about the bigger picture of life, using your imagination, following your dreams, finding your vision.
This can be a creative period for you and you benefit when you step out of your comfort zone. Say Yes to new experiences and venture away from your home and family for a while. There may be additional reasons now why you want to do something different, why you’re searching or seeking for something else, something new.
This is because it’s not only the Sun in Pisces. From the 5th, Mercury enters Pisces and is joined by Venus on the 12th. Plus, the planet of compassion, Neptune, is in Pisces as is Chiron, the planetary body linked to healing. If that wasn’t enough to be going on with, there’s also a Solar Eclipse in Pisces on the 9th.
One thing you need to know about March is that your emotions are going to be heightened and the compassionate side of your nature will be called forth. Eclipses are game changers, they coincide with dramatic events or twists of fate. Sometimes they change what you want to do and send you in a new direction. Sometimes they call so loudly that you cannot avoid the message you’re hearing loud and clear.
It depends on your personal situation what this means for you. Know however that Pisces is linked to travel, study, your beliefs, your spiritual path. Often you find that life is calling you towards a deeper purpose, a bigger mission when planets activate this key sector of your chart. Follow where your heart leads and you may discover your true vocation.
There will be times when you feel as if life has set you adrift with no anchor. Pisces is ruled by Neptune, God of the sea, and the sea is a vast and boundless realm. If you feel too emotional or you sense you’ve lost your way, find ways to ground yourself. Being out in nature will help and walking with your feet on the earth, writing things down or talking to people who you trust will be supportive.
All these activities can be a source of creative inspiration and the ideas that you come up with this month can be incredibly fertile. Jupiter, the planet of opportunity, is currently boosting your communication sector so use this positive influence to good effect.
Jupiter also makes a stunning planetary aspect to Pluto, the planet of transformation, in your relationship sector. This takes place on the 16th and it’s a helpful influence for any close relationship. It’s a good date to make plans with your other half, to talk things through, to establish new and strong foundations.
The latter part of the month highlights change and this is due to a second eclipse which takes place on the 23rd. During the last 10 days of March, the emphasis shifts to your career and vocation, your future and where you’re heading in life. This is primarily about work but it can also represent your status or reputation, your role in the public eye.
Three days before the lunar eclipse, the Sun enters Aries and your career sector heralding the arrival of Spring and the equinox on the 20th. Two days after this, communication planet Mercury joins the Sun in Aries. This indicates a dynamic period for your work and career and Aries often brings in new fresh energy.
Yet whenever you have an eclipse, you can’t often have a new beginning without also experiencing an ending. The Eclipse on the 23rd is especially powerful for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it cuts across the foundations of your chart with the Sun at the top in Aries and the Moon at the bottom in Libra. This is the work/ home axis.
Secondly, this is the last in a series of eclipses which began in October 2013 and this particular eclipse mirrors the lunar eclipse which took place on September 28, 2015. This is the final chapter and you might be more than ready to close one door behind you and move on.
If you are typical of your sign, you’re a creature of comfort and you enjoy your routine, knowing where you stand. Eclipse energy can affect you greatly if you are resistant to change. Yet life never remains static, people come and go, jobs begin and end.
So look at where change is happening in your own life and what shifts are being made. For some, this could be an incredibly exciting time especially if you’re fired up about a new job or role in your life.
For others, you’ll want to take your time coming to terms with the end of a job, the beginning of a new role, people coming and going from your life. Either way, it’s not going to be easy to stay put in the midst of change.
