Jupiter Enters Aries
The big news this month involves big planet Jupiter on the move. Jupiter is the planet of luck and opportunity and enters Aries and your career and vocation sector on the 11th. The planet of relating Venus leads the way on the 2nd. Therefore, by mid-month, you’ll have the two best planets in Aries boosting your ambitions.
Jupiter takes approximately one year to journey through each sign of the zodiac and remains in Aries for most of the time until May 2023. Here’s your chance to play big, fly high and expand your horizons. Jupiter not only represents opportunity, growth and expansion but the free spirit, the entrepreneur. Jupiter in Aries wants you to be big and bold in life.
Plus, Jupiter connects you with the world as it’s the global planet. Reach out to other people and expand your career. Plan work abroad or take a sabbatical to study something you’ve always dreamed about. Leave the 9-to-5 and go freelance or set up your own business. It’s your choice but the opportunity is there in the coming year, whatever your personal vision.
If you’re currently on the verge of seeking promotion or looking for a new job the last few days of the month look promising. On the 24th, action planet Mars joins Jupiter in Aries, on the 25th there’s a Moon/Jupiter conjunction in Aries and on the 29th, there’s an energising Mars/Jupiter conjunction in Aries. It’s an ideal time to step up your game.
Think back twelve years ago when Jupiter was last in this sector of your horoscope – 2010/11. Think about what was happening and how to use this powerful Jupiter transit to the best of your ability.
Mercury Retrograde
There is one proviso, however, and this is the fact that communication planet Mercury turns retrograde on the 10th, the day before Jupiter enters Aries. Mercury remains on go slow until June 3rd. Therefore, you may find that things don’t fall into your lap straightaway and it’s important to see this month’s astrology as the planning phase.
When planets are retrograde, it can feel like a stop-start time so pace yourself accordingly. Think of this as a time of preparation when you’re doing the groundwork for your next steps.
Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini and the most hidden sector of your horoscope. Try not to wear yourself out, especially if you’re dealing with a personal issue. This could flag up a secret enemy or someone working against you.
It’s not the time to make a major decision either. Instead, shift things around and change your routine so you get a chance to look at your life from a new perspective. By doing so, you may be able to revise a personal issue or rethink your work or lifestyle.
Retrograde Mercury teams up with Jupiter in Aries and your career and vocation sector on the 20th. This suggests that you may be mulling over your future path, your career, your vocation or your long-term goals.
Gemini rules rest and retreat in your horoscope, so create more space and quiet time for yourself. Mercury retrograde offers an opportunity to take time out and be by yourself. Listen to your instincts and slow down so you can hear your inner voice.
Lunar Eclipse
Also this month, there’s the second of two eclipses taking place cutting across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac. There was a Solar or New Moon eclipse on April 30th and this month, there’s a Lunar or Full Moon eclipse on the 16th. Eclipses are powerful for you because they involve the relationship between the Sun, Moon & Earth. And, the Moon is your ruler in astrology.
These two eclipses are part of the eclipse cycle that began in November 2021 and completes in October 2023. This eclipse cycle highlights the social axis of your horoscope. It’s about your friends and group activities, your involvement with society, politics, community or humanitarian goals.
Also, it’s about the things you give birth to, i.e. your creative urges. This includes your children, lovers, creative projects, your skills, talents and gifts. This eclipse is highlighting how you express yourself out in the world. These areas of your life may be shifting or changing as new lessons or learnings emerge.
Full Moons are notoriously emotional and an eclipsed Full Moon can be a time of drama when unexpected events kick in. It’s wise not to act on the date of the eclipse but wait and see what occurs. Once the shadow lifts, a new landscape can be revealed. Then, you can decide where you need to step in or take action.
However, be patient as Mercury is also hidden until early June. The New Moon in Gemini on the 30th could be a significant turning point. Read between the lines and use the New Moon energy to initiate an important conversation. Then, you can start to push things through ready for Mercury turning direct on June 3rd.
Note that Mercury moves back into Taurus on the 23rd and your friendship sector. If there’s a dispute or issue around a friend or group activity, take your time. You’ll be more effective in getting to the bottom of things if you wait until the end of the month.
Love & Relationships
Finally, when it comes to love and relationships, Jupiter is once again in pole position for you. On the 3rd, Jupiter in Pisces teams up with Pluto in Capricorn and your relationship sector. This combination can feel transformative.
It would be an ideal month to take a holiday with your partner or go abroad to meet someone you love. Life is calling you forth and out into the world this month in more ways than one.
