Cancer (22 June – 22 July)
There’s plenty of excitement this month in the sector of your horoscope which rules your work and routine, your lifestyle and health. This is because big planet Jupiter is in Sagittarius and the personal planets continue to trigger this part of your horoscope, mainly in a good way.
The first date of note is the New Moon on the 7th which takes place in Sagittarius. A new Moon is a symbol of new beginnings. This would be an excellent date to apply for a new job or take on an extra shift or role over the festive season.
Work on the whole looks fun and social although, as always with Sagittarius, you could be over-doing it or there’s too much going on. In general, however, this is a good time to throw yourself into work or volunteering and embrace a lively routine.
The more active you are, the healthier you are. Don’t leave those New Year resolutions to get fit until January. Instead, focus on your lifestyle and health and do more of what makes you feel good. The more fun you’re having, the lower your stress levels.
The 20th/21st could also be peak dates for you. Perhaps, you stop work for the holiday break as Sagittarius is one of the star signs linked to freedom. Or maybe you receive good news about work or a new role.
The key planetary aspects are the Sun in Sagittarius trine to Uranus in Aries and your career and vocation sector. This takes place on the 20th and may bring a new opportunity your way. Be innovative and different, embrace technology and alternative means.
Then, on the 21st, there’s a stunning Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius. This often highlights good news and both planets are linked to study and education. You may be chosen to gain extra qualifications via your place of work or know what you want to line up for next year in order to boost your skills.
This is a repeat of a planetary aspect which took place on November 27th, although Mercury was retrograde at that time. Therefore, there’s a theme of second chances and trying again where you failed once before. Perhaps, you sowed seeds last month which will grow and flourish when Mercury and Jupiter unite a second time.
It does look as if you have your head in the clouds for some of the time during December. You may be questioning what you’re doing and why. If you are dissatisfied with a current position or role, this will intensify throughout the month.
This is because of the planet Neptune currently in water sign Pisces and squaring the planets in Sagittarius and your work and lifestyle sector. This happens on the 5th and 24th. Being one of the water signs, you have a vast emotional range. As Pisces is dominant this month, expect your mind to wander and your emotions to ebb and flow more than usual.
Action planet Mars is also in Pisces, making you ambitious to travel, study and expand your horizons. You may feel bored or disillusioned with everyday life and be seeking something more. If this is the case, actively throw yourself into new experiences or line up a big adventure for 2019.
Mars and Neptune unite in Pisces on the 7th, the same day as the New Moon, so keep your eyes on the prize and engage with your inner stirrings. Try not to lose yourself in your daydreams or fantasy realm. Instead, use your imagination and seek out activities which inspire you, for example, music, art or poetry.
Pisces rules one of the spiritual and religious sectors of your horoscope. You may be questioning your faith or want something to believe in. Explore this too and see where life leads you.
December could be a big month for love. Certainly, the romance and relationship sectors of your horoscope are under the cosmic spotlight. Firstly, love planet, Venus, returns to Scorpio, a fellow water sign on the 2nd, where it remains until the end of the month.
You may remember that Venus was in Scorpio from September 9th until October 31st and turned retrograde here on October 5th. This may have been a confusing or difficult time emotionally. Scorpio rules romance in your horoscope, also children and pregnancy and your creative source.
Venus is in her sign of detriment in Scorpio, i.e. weakened, but she is now a morning star. In mythology, this links to her being a warrior woman, powerful and strong. When it comes to love and relationships, this is a symbol for a very sexy love affair, when you get in touch with your inner needs and passion.
Venus is strong on the following dates, the 16th, 21st and 28th. If you want more commitment in a relationship, be assertive and ensure your needs are met.
Talk planet, Mercury, also returns to Scorpio on the 1st and turns direct here on the 6th. Another indication that you need to go in deep when it comes to love. Tackle any taboos issues head-on and get in touch with your deeper emotions.
Come the 21st, the day of the Solstice, the Sun moves into Capricorn and your relationship sector. Almost immediately, there’s a Full Moon in your star sign, Cancer, on the 22nd and this is important for you. You may see a relationship situation clearly and know what you want and why. Trust your emotions and act accordingly. This is your chance to put yourself first.
On the 25th, Christmas Day, the Moon is in Leo, adding a generous vibe to the festivities. Expect a special gift or give the perfect present to the one you love.
Fast-forward to the 31st, New Year’s Eve and the Moon is in Scorpio and your romance and party sector. Say Yes to a special event or party to bring in the New Year.
Wishing you a happy and peaceful festive season, whatever your faith and however you choose to celebrate.
