Australian Open Tennis 2020

Australian Open Tennis 2020

Update: Pleased with my prediction – Nadal reached the quarterfinals, Federer reached the semifinals and Djokovic won the final – my 1. Djokovic 2. Federer 3. Nadal was correct in placing the top 3 in the right order. Thiem, the other finalist, played well and he was mentioned in the article below – he had some great astrology boosting the ‘earth sign’ players. Zverev seemed to fly reaching the semi-finals after a tough year. Even his astrology showed it was all about the charitable gesture of donating money to the Australian fire fund – what you give you receive in return. Thank you to everyone who commented and was brave enough to predict on the first Grand Slam of the year. The forum wouldn’t be the same without you. See you at the French Open 🙂

The Australian Open which starts on Monday 20th January, 2020 has already been dogged with controversy. Australia has been experiencing devastating fires for the last few months, a huge tragedy for the country.

Even though the rain has come, there is still worry over smoke pollution and whether the tennis should go ahead. Some of the qualifying matches had to be stopped due to players suffering adverse effects and there have been numerous complaints about the tournament taking place. (I’m in two minds too which is why I’m encouraging you to help if you can – see below)

The astrology chart for the Australian Open is certainly fiery with the Moon at 0 degrees Sagittarius, one of the fire signs. Plus, the Moon is heading for a conjunction with Mars in Sagittarius – Mars represents fire in astrology and Sagittarius rules foreign climes. The situation remains tense.

The planet ruling the Pisces Ascendant and Sagittarius Midheaven is Jupiter, a planet we often look out for in these tournaments. This year, Jupiter is in Capricorn, the sign of the land, and is conjunct the South Node in the 10th house.

The two will separate during the tournament but this isn’t a great omen. The South Node is an unfortunate point in astrology and Jupiter in Capricorn is in its sign of fall.

I did wonder when I looked at the chart a week ago whether the tournament would actually go ahead. The organisers will have to keep a close eye on things. The weather isn’t going to help one way or another as more storms & rain are forecast – hoorah for Australia! – which could interrupt the tennis.

It will be interesting to see whether Jupiter transits work well for the players as they have done in previous tournaments. Will the earth signs – Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn – do well with Jupiter in Capricorn? The chart for the final – see below has an exalted Moon in Taurus, one of the earth signs, exactly conjunct the Taurus Midheaven, the success point in the horoscope.

In addition to the astrology mentioned in the tournament chart, both the Sun at 29 degrees Capricorn and the Moon at 0 degrees Sagittarius are at critical degrees, the start and end of their respective star signs. This suggests a hasty decision and one which still may bring more twists and turns.

Here’s the astrology for the top-seeded players:

1.Rafael Nadal, b. June 3, 1986, 7:10 pm, Manacor, Spain

Rafa Nadal goes into the tournament as the world no. 1. He’s only won the Australian Open once in his career in 2009 and you would like to see him have fantastic astrology if he’s to be in with a chance in 2020. I can’t see a lot happening in his astrology. The recent Saturn-Pluto conjunction at 22 Capricorn 46 (January 12, 2020) fell almost exactly on his natal Mars at 22 Capricorn 56. Rafa did win the French Open last year with a Pluto transit. This feels different, however, and I’m not sure it will bring the power he needs. Mars in Sagittarius is moving through his 1st house, which is extremely competitive but aside from a couple of minor transits, there’s not a lot else to shout about.

2. Novak Djokovic, b. May 22, 1987, 11:25 pm, Belgrade, Yugoslavia

Novak Djokovic is the title holder having won here last year. His natal Uranus at 25 Sagittarius is conjunct the Midheaven (success point) of the tournament chart at 24 Sagittarius. As we know previously, Uranus springs surprises but it can go either way. Novak does have some Jupiter transits bubbling away as Jupiter moves closer to his Ascendant at 16 Capricorn. More importantly, Jupiter makes a sextile aspect to his Midheaven at 14 Scorpio, exact on February 3, 2020, the day after the final.

3. Roger Feder, b. August 8, 1981, 8:40 am, Basel, Switzerland

Both Novak and Roger had Saturn transits and injury issues at the last Grand Slam, the US Open, which was way back in September 2019. Like Novak, Roger also has a significant Jupiter transit opposite his natal Mars at 13 Cancer 56, exact on the day of the final, February 2, 2020. Oppositions aren’t as strong a testimony as a conjunction, trine or sextile aspect. However, they still can be buoyant and a positive influence. I don’t normally look at progressions due to time constraints (but I hope some of our fellow astrologers will do so, also the important Returns). I did notice, however that Roger’s secondary progressed Midheaven is moving closer to his natal Mars, exact in September 2020. Major progressions tend to act as a backdrop to the year. Therefore, you would expect this to be a decisive year for him playing competitive tennis. The minor transits work well for Roger this tournament too as his Midheaven is 6 Gemini, so the New Moon at 4 Aquarius 22 on January 24, 2020 makes a trine aspect to this significant point in his horoscope.

Players born in 1996 will have their Jupiter Return this year. Note the following players:

Daniil Medvedev, no. 4 seed, b. February 11, 1996, time unknown, Moscow, Russia – Jupiter 8 Capricorn (same degree as the south node)

Matteo Berrettini, no. 8 seed, b. April 12, 1996, time unknown, Palermo, Italy – Jupiter 16 Capricorn

Karen Khachanov, no. 16 seed, b. May 21 1996, time unknown, Moscow, Russia – Jupiter 17 Capricorn

Borna Coric, not seeded in top 20, November 14 1996, time unknown, Zagreb, Croatia – Jupiter 15 Capricorn

Jupiter moves between 11-13 Capricorn during the tournament.

Other players to note:

Dominic Thiem, no. 5 seed, b. September 3, 1993, 1:26am, Wiener Neustadt, Austria. I don’t remember whether this is a rectified time of birth for Thiem. If it’s correct, Neptune is moving closer to a conjunction of his Midheaven at 18 Pisces 58. As Neptune is one of his career co-rulers, along with Jupiter, you would expect this to be a positive transit for him. It’s not exact, however, until later this year. Thiem’s Sun at 10 Virgo 29 is conjunct Mercury at 14 Virgo 51, so he has helpful Jupiter transits during the tournament.

Gael Monfils, no. 10 seed, b. September 1, 1986, 4:50 am, Paris, France. The birth-time for Monfils is confirmed. Mars rules his Aries Midheaven and is at 14 Capricorn 01, therefore helped by the conjunction from Jupiter. Another earth sign player with his Sun at 8 Virgo 23.

David Goffin, no. 11 seed, b. December 7, 1990, 2:35 pm, Liege, Belgium. Another confirmed birth time. Sun Sagittarius, Goffin has Venus at 24 Sagittarius 02 very close to the tournament chart Midheaven at 24 Sagittarius 19. Also, his Midheaven point is 14 Capricorn 09 so Jupiter is moving ever closer to the success point in his horoscope. It’s also his Saturn Return year and Saturn is ruler of his Capricorn Midheaven, Saturn at 22 Capricorn 58. Strong astrology.

I don’t have a strong intuition about this year’s winner of the tournament and I would love a new winner to step forward. If I were to rank the top 3, I would do so in the following order: 1. Djokovic 2. Federer 3. Nadal. I look forward to hearing from our fellow astrologers on their thoughts and insight.

Fundraising

More importantly, I hope people will pay attention to the real danger of climate change in our world. The major planetary shift from Capricorn to Aquarius in 2020 is calling us all forth to be more activist and come together as a community, a collective.

If you want to donate to help Australia, please do so. I contributed to Celeste Barber’s relief fund (which has now ended) and one of the wildlife rescue organisations, WIRES Wildlife Rescue. The following article also has lots of helpful information about the organisations raising funds for the country: Australia Fires How You Can Help.

Australian Open Tennis Final 2020

  1. Hi. I’d like to share the meaning of Juan:

The tournament opens with G at grade 29, mmm does not seem favorable for the defending champion – Novak Djokovic. That in his debut card will also have that doubly important positioning because that card will have Leo ascendant.

The good thing that has the Serbian is that Jupiter these two weeks will advance to make sextile with his MC scorpion, being partil the aspect for the final. Which is a great testament to success.

He will have to overcome the obstacle of Mars by travelling over his Saturn in opposition to his Mercury, which will be partile on the 30th/1st day of the semi-final.

Nadal in his lunar revolution has Saturn/Pluto on his native Mars, should be eliminated before the final. But he changes revolution just one day before the final, in it he has the Moon in the ASC and the Sun and Mercury in the MC.

Unfortunately Master Federer will not be able to crown himself either. In his lunar revolution nothing stands out, and he has the opposition of Mars to his lunar ASC indicating fierce adversaries.

    1. Thank you for sharing – always interesting to read about how the Lunar Return (revolution) may influence the astrology of the players. I’m not sure what the first sentence means ‘G at grade 29’? Maybe the placement of the Sun at 29 degrees. I also think the Mars transit might favour Novak not hinder him.

  2. Hey Sally. What do you see for Serena? Do you think she has a good chance of winning and tying Margaret court this tournament?

    1. I thought Serena would win last year when she had Saturn, her career planet, exactly conjunct her Capricorn Midheaven. I can’t remember which tournament it was exact. She has lucky Jupiter moving closer to her Midheaven now but it’s not exact until February 2020. She will have Jupiter in her 10th house from February 18th until 2021, so she has a good shot at gaining another Grand Slam in 2020 if she can remain fit and strong in mind and body.

  3. Dear sally thanks for your insightful predictions on the australian open. let me give my thoughts on it as per sidereal astrology.the 3rd degree of pisces rises for the tournament chart and the MC is the 2nd degree of sagittarius making jupiter the ruling planet as well as lord of the success point.Jupiter is associated with south node in his own sighn but they are separating.this shows the tournament will be hit by controversies but as jupiter is in his own sighn the tournament will conclude as usual in its appointed day.saturn powerfully aspects the ascendent which shows that an older player above 30 is more likely to win the tournament.jupiter being ruler of ascendent and MC points to the favourite doing very well.
the top seed nadal has a very bad transit going on during the tournament transit saturn is going over his natal mars which can result in injuries or health problems.there is no great astrology going on for him.the moon of the tournament chart is in exact 8th to his natal moon but it also squares his MC.whether this alone can bring success is doubtful.but if nadal reaches the final he is most likely to win it.but he has to survive the 1st week.
djokovic has the transit jupiter going to his ascendent and sextile to his mc during the tournament.this can normally bring success but the nodes are in square to his natal moon which can bring unexpected failures.it remains to be seen what happens.
federer has the tournament chart ruling and lord of MC in exact trine to his ascendent and on the day of the final jupiter is in opposition to his natal mars his 9th lord which can bring success. But progressed saturn is aspecting his progressed MC which can bring disappointment as it did for him at last years wimbledon.this time it ihas been difficult to pick a clear winner but my 1st pick is djokovic 2nd nadal and 3rd federer.i feel the next generation of tennis players will have to wait to win a slam.

  4. Thanks, Sally, for your analysis of the astrology, and your mention of the organizations helping the people and wildlife impacted by the bushfires. It breaks my heart to see video of the koalas injured and walking the roads.

I’m looking at some secondary progressions for the top 3 guys. I think Rafa has the best, with the prog. Midheaven career factor in a close sextile to his prog. Mercury. Also he has prog. Mercury separating from the trine to his Saturn but still fairly close. He has the transiting Sun trine his Sun the day of the final. He has won the Australian Open just once before, so it will be interesting to see if the progressions tell the story, or if other factors are more important.

Roger has some good progressions, too. His prog. Midheaven is making a sextile to his Ascendant, bringing him the notice of the public. His prog. Sun is trine his Chiron, and I’m not sure how that will express- healing or wounding? His prog. Moon is making a nice trine to his Sun, but it’s squaring his Mars. A plus/minus situation, I’d say. The transiting Sun is opposite his Mercury the day of the final, difficult for performance in tennis.

I don’t see progressions in effect for Novak. There is the Jupiter transit in range of the sextile to his Midheaven the day of the final which you mentioned. Transiting Mars is opposite his Chiron the day of the final, potentially bringing a “wounding.” There are transits both positive and negative to his progressed chart the day of the final. The Australian Open has been “his” tournament, so it will be interesting to see whether Jupiter can bring success, or Mars/Chiron will bring defeat, in the final. And that’s if he makes it past Roger or whoever else is in the semifinal!

    1. Thank you, Astrotennis. Do you use secondary progressions and what type of progression do you use for the Ascendant/Midheaven? Helpful to know.

      1. Hi, Sally.

I do use secondary progressions, and I use them also for the Ascendant and Midheaven. I just print out a secondary progressed chart and look at the placements of the planets and the angles. I look for aspects between the various placements, and then compare placements to the natal chart, looking for aspects between factors.

  5. Thank you very much Sally for the latest release.

The first upset has taken place. Shapovolov has been beaten in 4 sets by Fuscovics.

  6. Hola Sally and company!

Thank you again for sharing this space and your knowledge (as always)

This edition I am going with Djokovic, but lets see : https://carruselastrologico.blogspot.com/2020/01/open-australia-2020.html

For those who like sports in general, in 2019 I wrote on the blog the main investigation that I made during one year: https://carruselastrologico.blogspot.com/2019/10/the-chinese-almanac-of-back-to-future.html.

Always is diferent the energy of a woman (and more in sports astrology where 90% are men) and I loved how you finished your post! ( the most personal post I wrote is ‘ mercury and the word of God’ and I think you will like it); hope is easy to read in english.

    Saludos,

    Javier

    1. Thank you, Javier. I had a look at your predictions – even though you use Lunar Returns, we seem to be on the same page. I never think of myself as unusual in enjoying sports astrology – a strong Mars helps – but love what you said about how I finished my article – and yes, that was important for me. Looking forward to the forum.

    2. Hi Javier

What do think on the women side then? Will there be a Barty Party? Next round she will face Kvitova, which could be the toughest opponent.

    here it goes………

    Open Australia 2020
    January 20, 2020

12 years ago, Novak Djokovic won the first Grand Slam of his career and was in Australia (cover image). Looking at the relocated lunar return for Sydney in 2008:

It had a double trigone between the two beneficial ones: Jupiter of the lunar return was in partile trigone to natal Venus and Venus of the lunar return was in trine application to the natal jupiter. Lunar Venus, which governs her home 9 (related among other things to the foreigner) also applied conjunction to the ruler of the natal ascendant and opposed her natal mercury (there are always favorable aspects and against, such as Mars of the lunar return that governs her MC natal opposite to natal saturn). Tremendous astrology to start your legend.

    A cycle of jupiter after:

Jupiter returns 12 years later to practically the same degree of capricorn that was in 2008, and therefore is in closed trigon to his native venus. With this return, the ATP CUP won with Serbia recently. In this 2020 edition, if it reaches the final rounds, on January 30 it would have a new lunar return:

Here Jupiter, which governs both the ascending and the middle sky of the lunar return, is left in sextile application to its natal half-sky and applies conjunction to its natal ascendant. Doubt, is how this conjunction of Mars with Saturn is going to manifest, but being the ruler of the midheaven with the ruler of the ascendant I think it is positive (the Barca in his natal chart has a similar conjunction) because that Mars is in Partil trigon to his natal jupiter and more because jupiter by antiscio is in the 16.47 degree of sagittarius, in conjunction with natal saturn and Mars of the lunar return. The tournament of this edition begins with the midheaven on the 24th of Sagittarius, set in the midheaven of this last lunar return. The most positive aspect is, without a doubt, fortune in the 22nd grade of Taurus, together with the conjunction of jupiter and saturn of the year 2000 (Liverpool debuted in the current Premier League edition with fortune in exactly the same place , and has won many games with goals in the final minutes and has practically won the premiere midseason Here you can see the post about the premiere. https://carruselastrologico.blogspot.com/2019/08/premier-league- 2019-20.html ).

I think it’s the last year where the 3 tennis legends of the last 20 years are going to distribute the 4 Grand Slam, so we have one more year to continue enjoying them. Nadal if he reaches the final, he would have Mars that rules his ascendant in quadrature partile to his natal jupiter and jupiter in transit opposite to his natal venus, attached to saturn over his natal mars, so I do not think he will win this edition . Federer doesn’t think he will win either (jupiter in capricorn will be opposed to his natal mars).

From the ‘next gen’: I don’t think Tsitsipas will reach the semifinals again (saturn and pluto oppose his natal mars), Thiem has a jupiter in application trigon to his natal mercury (tennis-related planet) so there will be to be attentive since it has improved on hard track (I do not have his birth time) and Medvedev is the most interesting case, since he has his natal jupiter in capricorn (jointly of his solar return) in a very favorable position on the mundane letter of Australia but just now the southern node is on its native jupiter.

Of the rest of the players that I have looked at so far, Goffin has Uranus reaching his natal ascendant and Jupiter applying conjunction to his homeland, so he can make a good tournament.

With all this astrology,I think that Djokovic is going to win his eighth Australian Open and of the women I have only looked at the first 3 favorites, with Asleigh Barty having the best activations and also playing at home.

When the second week of the tournament begins, I will review the astrology of the players still in competition.

    Greetings.

  8. Hi Sally for nadal on day of final transiting Mars conjuct natal Uranus in saggiratius. It is powerful transit .Give u r opinion sally.

    1. Nadal has to get to the final first! As mentioned in the article, Mars in Nadal’s 1st house is positive for him during the tournament but ideally you want to see major transits working well and that is not the case. The conjunctions are often tricky to interpret as they can play out both ways – but yes, theoretically it’s a lively transit for the day.

  9. Both Matteo Berrettini and Borna Corric lost in their respective matches. Federer may not meet any seeded opponent until QF now. However, Federer will have to face John Millman in next round who had defeated Federer in US Open 2018 (assuming Fed winning today in round 2). Grigor Dimitrov also lost.

        1. Yes. Will be a tricky match. He did defeat Kyrgios in Wimbledon, so slow hard court should be easier. He seems to me the most improved player of 2019 and has looked the best so far. No break points faced!!

Have a feeling he will win. Will see.

  10. I was looking at theims chart and i found a few interesting transits.I use a rectified time of 1.30 am.the jupiter of the tournament chart has an exact trine to theims natal sun.the moon of the tournament chart is in exact trine to theims natal moon.the tournament final chart moon is in sextile to theims natal ascendant and the jupiter of final chart is in an exact square to theims natal mars.this can bring him success.

    1. Thiem was one of the players I mentioned in the main article because of the Jupiter transits to his natal Sun/Mercury conjunction in Virgo. It picks it out nicely. Thank you for mentioning the other transits too. It all seems a bit straightforward at the moment in this first week’s tennis – nothing to get overly excited about! Maybe that will change once we have the New Moon tomorrow.

      1. Dear Sally, do you have the chart by any chance of Coco Gauff? it seems that the sky is only her limit. She is called to be the new Serena Williams even perhaps more dominant in next years. That would be not good for tennis alas. It would be interesting to see how far she will go in AO and rest of the year.
Thanks for continuing with the tennis blog. Very enjoyable.

        1. Coco Gauff was born on March 13 2004. No time of birth. We clocked her last year when Jupiter in Sagittarius was doing great things to her astrology. Her Sun is at 23 degrees Pisces, possibly square to the Moon Sagittarius, although without a birth time we don’t know what degree her Moon is. The recent Saturn/Pluto conjunction made a sextile aspect to her Sun, which can help to establish your position. Also Coco’s Jupiter is at 11 Virgo, so Jupiter currently at 11 Capricorn is making a nice trine aspect to it.

  11. Hello Everyone, hi Sally! Thank you for continuing your Grand Slam forum and for offering us your precious prediction and advice during the days! Having been on the road I enjoy to join in a bit later. Reading your analysis and others’ interesting lines, Djokovic seems to have a good outlook once again in Melbourne. It will be interesting to see what the Jupiter Mars Opposition might do to Federer if he comes through in the last rounds. What will Saturn Pluto mean to Nadal as it sits on his athletic planet? Thiem with nice astrology as you and James present. Maybe we should hope for Alex Zverev to win the Championship. He is going to give all his prize money to the Australian bush fire victims. So let’s see how the matches go on… 🙂

    1. Hola.

I am not in home, so if dont have astrology program with me, but the match Tsitispas-Raonic looks interesting…Saturn is already in 24 of Capricorn and natal mars of tsitisas is in 24 of cáncer (so receiving also the oposition of Pluto).

Raonic has the return of Saturn this days And he has natal Sun at 5 capricorn; his recently solar return has Júpiter at 5 capricorn and uranus in 2 taurus. Also he has natal uranus and venus un capricorn, and i am doing without using a program, but if he has his Moon is Taurus, his recently lunar return is powerfull , with Júpiter in Conjunción yo his natal Sun and uranus and mayo be on trine witjh the moon; he has very good astro for being the surprise of this tournament but i want to check more with real program (not doing returns and sinastry with my mind).

      1. Thank you Juan. Raonic’s astrology is very interesting, he would have to beat Djokovic in the Quarters and I notice North Node exactly trine the favorite’s natal Pluto which is Co-Ruler of Novak’s Midheaven. Another strong hint for the Serb I guess while the square of the Nodes appears to wide for me to bother him.

      2. Great astrology, Javier. Yes, tricky astrology for Tsitsipas with Saturn/Pluto opposite his natal Mars. The same astrology that Nadal has conjunct his natal Mars at 24 Capricorn but as we know conjunctions are a different energy to oppositions. Raonic is one to watch – I don’t think he was on my list of seeded players? Always good to check out the other unseeded players who get through to the last 16 once we reach that point.

        1. Sally,

Milos is actually seeded – at #32. He hasn’t lost a set and he is healthy so if he keeps his errors low, his aces up, he can do considerable damage. It would be nice to see him come through with a major.

    1. Also the moon will be aplying conjuction to the north node of Raonic and oposition to venus of Tsitsipas.

2016 was the best year for Raonic (SF in Austria and final in Wimbledon). Jupiter was in virgo in 2016. With his powefull stellium in capricorn and his solar return with jupiter in exact conjuction to his sun, this 2020 has to be a good year for him because also during the year jupiter will be aplying conjuction to his saturn, that is lord of his natal stellium.

I think he will defeat Tsitispas today.

    1. Federer’s sun has combusted his malefic planets like mercury, saturn and moon.
Mars is positively aspecting federer’s profession today.

Only concern is Rahu is negatively aspecting federer’s courage and sports house and there is no one to counter it.

  12. Thank you to all!

I know is a tenis forum, but this in in my head since few days ago:

1981/2 conjunction saturn and pluto in libra (relations): propaganda of aids started.
12 january conjuction saturn and pluto in capricorn: eruption of taal volcano in Filipinas (there is and investigation on my blog about volcanos) and few days later new virus apears in China. New more control of citicens? More limits for crossing frontiers? What do you think Sally and company?

I know that is in Spanish, but here I develop and astrological point of view for this 2020: https://carruselastrologico.blogspot.com/2019/11/una-perspectiva-astrologica-para-la.html

    Saludos.

  13. So Sally, Javier, Patrick..all ruling rafa out and saying he will get out much before the final is it ? Too bad…will rafa touch 20 n how many is he likely to end at…any idea

Any outside chance for rafa to win this?

    1. sujith muttineni

seems like this tournament is for under dogs.

ladies side top 2 favs serena and osaka already eliminated.

need to wait few more days for mens side results.

    2. I think he can win. Just look at his performances in 2019… 3 GS finals and two won. Even did good on indoor court. I think he has a plan!!

  14. There are only two instances that a third seeded player has won Australian open championships in history. Ken Rosewall -1953 and Ashley Cooper in 1958. For the past 62 years, this record is intact. The top 2 seeds win the championship most of the time, with odd seeds filling the gap. 4th seeds win are third prominent. For Federer fans, he is seeded 3 this year. We will have to see if he can join this elite frequency group. Djokovic seeding looks stronger for lifting the championship based on past data

    1. Interesting. I have a feeling this statistic is going to change once the top three cease to dominate. It is incredible how long the top tennis players of this era have been at the top of the game of all four Grand Slams. It’s been quite unusual.

  15. Just realized that Fognini was born less than 2 days later of Djokovic ( 24-5 1987 04 am in san remo, italy): asc in aries (he has a special character…) and midheaven in capricorn (8 degree where is south node/ketu now). So it will be very interesting, because both players has angles ruled by same planets ( mars-saturn/ saturn -mars) and mars in sagittarius is arriving to both natal saturn.

Fognini has his midheaven where medvédev has his jupiter, so also will be interesting how south node manifest to both.

    1. Very interesting, Javier. Andy Murray also born May 1987, 15th – obviously a top vintage for tennis players!

    1. Hola Juan! I’ve translated for everyone to read. It looks great astrology – one to watch.

      Hi Sally and hello everyone!

Wawrinka is surprising in this year 2020. I looked at his birth chart and now he understands why.
Jupiter is making his 12th MC Pisces sextile. Uranus is doing trigon to the lord of his natal MC (Neptune 3rd Capricorn). In addition, Mars in Sagittarius is activating its native Uranus Mercury / Venus trigon.

We’ll see if he got here or if he keeps moving forward. I think he has his chances against Medvedev.

  17. Hola Sally and company.

Now,that the astro of Wawrinka is commented by Juan, yesterday i looked open usa 2016 (I started to make predictions when Tsitsipas defeated Federer in OA 2019, so I liked to study previus grand slams to try to undestand why a player won because I dont have many experience yet): and in the final of open usa mars was in the same degree of sagitarius that will be in this final of 2 feb ( 20 sag): over natal saturn of Djokovic that rules his ascendent…Djokovic that time won first Set but lost in 4…he finished and amazing récord of victories and more when he won the first set…

This open usa 2016 I still dont understand why Wawrinka won ( when he is fine I like a lot how he plays), but I saw a lot of charts and maybe I lost something.

The point is if Djokovic will not win this tournament, who will be? I like the astro of Raonic.

    Very good games for monday

    1. just looking back at us open 2016 – Wawrinka won with Saturn exactly sextile his natal Jupiter, ruler of his Midheaven, career/success point. That was the major transit and, as you mention Mars in Sagittarius like it is this time around. Stan has a very ‘fiery’ chart – Sun Aries, Venus/Mercury Aries both closely trine Uranus Sagittarius.

          1. Wawarinka defeats Medvedev in 5 sets.

Congratulations to all the astrologers who predicted this right !!!

  18. Hi Sally and fellow astrologers,

Now that Rafa has cruised through the initial rounds when his astrology was bad, is he top of the pick now?

  19. Has anyone ever looked at the chart of Zverev? I know he keeps underperforming at Grand Slams, but he is playing very well right now. In the next round he will meet the young Rublev who hasn’t lost a match this year.

  20. Hi Sally and all dear astrologers who invest their time and energy to predict here. Rapnic is playing quite good and Djokovic is back in form since couple of weeks and at his best again it seems. How does the next match between both of them looks like – any comments and more light on their astrology on that day will be amazing and kind 🙏🏽😊..
    Regards

  21. Nadal has the toughest and the most brutal draw among the Big Three despite being the number 1 seed .This has never happened to Ferderer and most especially to Djokovic when they were number 1 .
According to most astrologers here , except Astro Tennis , he has the least favored astrology among the Big Three . All odds are against Nadal at this tournament , so it seems .

      1. That has been the argument of his haters . Whenever Nadal wins , it is because of his easy draw . Fans of his rivals just don’t want to accept his victories .They always have reasons to downplay them . BE FAIR !!

    1. Yes, Nadal’s remaining draw is brutal. He never seems to have much luck in Australia Open. No astrologer wants to predict his match with Kyrgios?

      1. Nadal is not supposed to reach the finals , according to his astrology . This might be the reason why no astrologer is interested in his match with Kyrgios . Just my observation …

        1. Nadal never has much love on this forum for some reason… even when he won the US Open 2019, most of the astrologers had written his chances off other than Javier.

          1. Nadal gets a lot of love from me – I think he’s awesome. However, I’m here to inform you all of the astrology best I can and open up the forum to other astrologers. If the major astrology doesn’t leap out, that doesn’t mean the person is not loved by any means.

          2. Haha, I agree it seems Sally always wishes Federer to win. You say, he won when Pluto was transiting during RG, how would you explain that? 🙂 I think Nadal has very good astrology, especially in sidereal/vedic astrology.

          3. I’m not sure exactly where you think I’ve said I want Federer to win this Grand Slam? In the main article, I felt the astrology was best for Djokovic, then Federer, then Nadal, in that order. And yes, Nadal did win with a Pluto transit at RG – the guy’s a true gladiator! Pluto transits by conjunction can lend extreme power too, at least when it comes to sport. I don’t have a favourite for this tournament at all – to be fair, I’m not that gripped by the tennis. There are no real surprises and the top 3 seem invincible even when they don’t have fantastic astrology transits. They’ve learnt how to win – that’s the difference.

          4. I don’t say, that I think you said Federer will win this AO 🙂 I said ‘it seems’ which is different. Based on previous articles, it seems you always favoured Federer (and I might be wrong) but this is my observation/opinion. AO isn’t Nadal’s surface, he has lost so many times, that there must be something in the air which is unfavourable for him. I see this edition Djokovic (or Wawrinka, he might beat Djokovic) winning. I think, we might sometimes even miss minor things in a chart to come to a conclusion. Horary gives good outcome for such questions in most cases.

        2. We’re not saying that about his astrology, Amado, at least I’m not. As is often pointed out in this forum, the top 3 are going to be at the peak of the Grand Slams, until they’re not. Nadal could of course go on to win here without having major transits to back up his performance. He doesn’t have any major astrology that we’re concerned about but he doesn’t have Jupiter on his side whereas Djokovic and Federer do. Re. Nadal v. Kyrgios? Personally, I don’t think Kyrgios has the mental strength to stand up to Nadal’s expertise & incredible powers of concentration.

          1. Much thanks , Sally . Although Nadal doesn’t have major astrology for this tournament , I believe that he has the willpower to go on and may even win .
It is just Federer and Djokovic are stronger than him mentally lately .

      1. FYI about Nadal vs Kyrgios game
Kyrgios time of birth is approx (maybe 5:55 – 6pm)
I remb reading this on a forum!
        Thanks

    1. If you go on Twitter, there are lots of astrologers talking about this. When such a tragedy occurs, it’s respectful to wait a while rather than leap in and try and determine what, why and where through the lens of astrology – my personal opinion, at least. Very sad for his family and all who knew him well.

  22. We are now into the 2nd week of the tournament.
We are having a blockbuster match today Nadal vs Kyrgios. We are looking forward to reading the final astro-scrutiny reports of the match from Sally, James Green, Patrick, Javier, Astro Tennis, Juan and all other astrologers.
    Thanksalot

    1. South Node is benefic for RaFa and is occupying his 3rd house in birth chart, in turn nullyfying the mal-effects of Jupiter.
Nothing promising apart from this, so its very tough, not impossible, for RaFa to win this AO.

    2. Rafa vs thiem..thoughts ? That is a big big banana skin for rafa..esp after rafa had to play twice the time today to bear kyrgios than thiem had to beat Monfils

  23. I think Nadal has found some good rhythm 3rd round onwards. Before that, he was not converting too many break points. Has been serving decently too. I think if he wins his quarter final v Thiem, he should be able to overcome Zverev/Wawrinka in a 5 setter. So, he may reach the final if he wins his next match.

Djokovic on the other hand, has been playing well from the year’s start. He was playing better than Nadal in ATP Cup. Here, too, he seemed to be up to the mark from 1st round.

Federer has played decently but hasn’t really had to face a big name till now. Probably won’t, until the semi-final.

Raonic seems to be serving like a demon. Almost doubled the no. of aces from the previous round. If he continues like this, who knows what can happen.

    1. sujith muttineni

if raonic does the same serving in djokovic match then i believe he can win this tournament as predicted by javier(if djokovic is not winning this year the next to win is raonic as per him).

      1. He also said Wawrinka to win if he would reach the finals . I’m kind of confused now.
Wawrinka lost his QF in 4 sets to Zverev .

  24. Hola!

    1. Translated to English for benefit of all

      Hello!

As we anticipated, Wawrinka eliminated Medvedev!

And I think Stan still has a lot to say in this tournament. I think it will beat Zverev. The German on 29/1 will have Mars 17th Sagittarius squaring his native Mars 17th Virgo, in square T with Neptune 17th Pisces.

While the Swiss will have Mars 17th Sagittarius in partil trigon to his Venus / Mercury native conjunction.

  25. Now that the Quarter Final line-up has become crystallized we are all looking forward to the next Search Report from all the Astrologers !

With all due respects, I would request all to post their comments

    Thanksalot

      1. Moon is aspecting Roger’s venus in 11th zodiac sign and Venus has got the sports department in Roger’s chart.
Roger has got unfavourable conditions physically/mentally for couple of days as moon stays in 1 zodiac sign for 2.5 days.

        1. Hi WanneBe,

Fed Djoko semi is on Jan30th, I presume, that too at 7:30 PM Melbourne time. Does moon come out the zodiac sign ?
          What are your thoughts?

          1. Presence of Jupiter in 9th Zodiac Sign is offering Roger a lot of luck/fortune these days and this is the 5th house of Roger so chances of an UNEXPECTED VICTORY are there…

Presence of Mars in 8th Zodiac sign is offering Roger the might of mars in his profession i.e. tennis, giving him the much-needed aggression and at the same time keeping a check on negative results from his opponents…another plus

Presence of Sun in 10th zodiac sign is combusting the malefic planets for Roger i.e. Saturn and Mercury and also keeping a check on losses in his profession…another plus…

Presence of Moon in 12th zodiac sign is creating a VIPARIT RAJYOG for Roger in terms of his physical/mental health thereby removing the obstacles on his path till it stays there….

Venus is benefic and is in-charge of sports and profession department for Roger. It is placed in 11th zodiac sign which happens to be 7th house, so it is going to bring good reputation to Roger.

            ————————————-MINUSES——————————————————-

North Node is aspecting Roger’s 3rd house; not good for Roger….

    1. He started moving well, the moment ASCENDANT changed from TAURUS to GEMINI for place melbourne.
He lost those 2 sets because of MOON aspecting VENUS in 8th house for place melbourne.
MOON became neutral for federer the moment it entered 9th house for place melbourne and we saw federer moving his feel nicely at the end of 4th set and throughout 5th set.

    1. Agreed re. Federer! Incredible comeback – I love the top players never give up. Their belief is incredible. It said he’s got a back injury – is that correct? You don’t want any ailments if you’re to continue competing at the top level.

  26. From Javier :

    Carr BrusselstrologicalJanuary 27, 2020, 10:51 p.m.

I want to be brave and although Djokovic has won the 9 games he has played against Raonic and playing at night will slow down Raonic’s serve, I will rely on the astrology I have seen: both in his recent solar return, as in his lunar return In force, Raonic has very good astrology. The game is played with ascending in cancer and half heaven in Taurus, and today we have a triple conjunction luna-neptuno-venus (the moon rules the ascendant of the party and venus the middle sky) in pisces that forms a T Square with the Saturn of Djokovic (which governs his ascendant) and with his native mercury. In addition, Mars is activating this configuration and in the final of the 2015 Open USA that lost against Wawrinka, Mars was practically in the same position.

Of Raonic there is no official time of birth, but I was watching when he won titles and his venus on capricorn 19 was activated; Today’s triple conjunction in Pisces favorably appeals to his native Venus. In addition, he is living the return of saturn (in conjunction with pluto), which having 5 natal planets in capricorn benefits him.

The key is to what degree of Taurus is Raonic’s natal moon, because in addition to having a conjunction of Jupiter sun on both the solar and lunar return, he can also have triggered jupiter to his natal moon (on the lunar return and / or now by transit) and that would make him reach at least the tournament final.

I think that today it will surprise and will win Djokovic for the first time. Only the brave grow, and although it is always difficult to predict against the great favorite, today with all this astrology I have to play it. If you can’t beat him, he’ll win at least some set. In a few hours we see who wins.

    Greetings.

    1. Novak birth time is 11:25 pm or 11:25 am ?
Sally’s time above says 11:25 pm, but its not matching with your planet positions…

      1. 11:25pm for Djokovic. There were two birth times doing the rounds but this is the one that works most accurately. It’s also been confirmed on astro.com which I like for exactitude.

    2. Thank you for sharing this – we have a few astrologers picking out Raonic and I like all his strong earth influence – a lot of planets in Capricorn and Taurus getting some nice aspects. Sadly, we have no time of birth for him, otherwise we could get more accurate with the astrology. I agree that Djokovic has a few minor square aspects coming up, which usually means you have a fight on your hands. Definitely one to keep an eye on and the match has started.

  27. The match started 35 minutes later that I calculated, so ascendent of the game 25 cancer in exact oposition to Raonic natal saturn ( main planet of his chart) and aplying conjuction to his south node…with this very difficult to win.

I am agree with Juan, Wawrinka has very good astrology: his lunar return has part of fortune and north node on his natal ascendent, moon in trine to venus that rules his pujar midheaven, and both (moon and venus) un close trine to his lunar midheaven. His natal midveaved is in piscis and he has 2 powefull transits: júpiter jn sextile to his midheaven and uranus in close trine to his natal neptune. Mars is emporing him a lot and of he arrived to the final I think he will win, because the moon ( that rules his ascendent) is aplying conjuction to his natal north node. I am sure that novak preferís to play the final with of one, because is his black best.

Nadal has one main transit: venus aplying conjction to his natal jupiter in piscs ( two benefic and one in its own sign and other exaltaded) and both un trine to his natal ascendent and in sextil to his natal mars, that rules his ascendent. Thiem is playing amazing with jupiter in trine to his natal mercury.

I made a mistake thinking that the match will start puntual…

    1. Jajaja.

I dont have a perfect english, bit the tablet changed my words. Sorry ( I was looking at the game and writing)

    2. Thanks Javier – yes, slightly confused by some of your writing with the spell checker going crazy 🙂 Fun to read though. Will any of the top 3 get defeated by a lower-seeded player seems to be the big question this tournament. So far, service as normal. Looking forward to see how Wawrinka gets on tomorrow.

  28. Yesterday, with I friend, we were trying to rectificate the hour of birthday of Raonic, and we arrive that he can have his natal ascendent around 8 of taurus, and the game was announced to start at 19:00, plus as we all now, the clásic 15 minutes to warm up etc. At 19:15 the midheaven of the match was in his ascendent, so was a strong testimony for him to have success…but starting at 19:49 was the worst moment of time for him (as I sayd: having the ascendent in exact oposition to your saturn and together with your south node is the worst start for anything, and even more when he has lost 9 of 9 with the serbian Master, now 10 of 10 ) . My face when I saw this was a poem jaja.if astrology is the study of the quality of time, at 19:49 he has nothing to do as we saw. Live is always teaching; sorry for the mistake.

In any case, astrolology is so beautiful: this was the first match I have seen of Raonic and if he has taurus rising, his venus ( lord of house 1) together with saturn makes him tall ( 1.98), with mars in taurus he is powefull ( 229 km/h) but makes him slow and I bit fat, and with 6 planets in earth element he is no flexible at all…

I only explained, from my point of view, the astro of Wawrinka, Nadal and why Thiem is playing so good; didnt make a prediction. (Only for Wawrinka)

Yesterday night when I asked to the symbolon (astrological tarot) about if Raonic can win,the answer was very clear : shows a person a ‘little’ angry ( the one who write this) that now I understand why :(because the hour of the match change everything…

    1. Djokovic seems unstoppable. The only one who might stop him is Wawrinka if he reaches the final.
I really hoped Raonic would win, because he played so well this tournament. Exciting to see, what you have to say about Thiem vs Nadal. Thiem plays really well and their previous encounters (RG an AO) have been nail biting and 5-setters.

      1. sujith muttineni

for Wawrinka to reach final thiem has to beat nadal today which then paves way for wawrinka winning ao2020 else it will be joker winning this year as well without any doubt beating nadal in final.

        1. Don’t think Thiem will beat Nadal, it will be a fight for sure – but Nadal will win in 5 sets. Yes, if a Djokovic-Nadal final then Djokovic will win.

      2. Yes , he does . At 32 , he still plays exclusively the oldies to win his slams . No wonder , he looks like 25 . All the young Next Gen. players who could trouble and defeat him , except Tsitsipas and Berettini , had landed on Nadal’s draw . This is a BIG PLUS yet again for Djokovic as we all know that he has a losing record against them . As it stands , combined with great astrology , this AO seems to be a done deal for Djokovic .

        1. Djokovic draw is literally a walk in the park. With Federer now injured too, a final is sure for Djokovic.

Nadal wouldnt be able to pull it off against Djokovic.

          1. I’ve been thinking that if Nadal was seeded no. 2 , he could have had this cake walk draw that Djokovic is enjoying now . What a rotten luck again for Nadal at this tournament !!!
I guess this is Nadal’s reward for being number 1 .

          2. Amado! Yes, Djokovic tend to lose against the Next-Gen but they are all out. Hopefully Nadal will win RG2020. I mean, at one point Thiem will win RG so I hope Nadal can make it this year.

If Nadal makes it to the final. Transit of his moon is not favourable, not a good day and for Djokovic it is looking good. Alas, what to do? Lets first see how Thiem vs Nadal plays out.

          3. Not sure I’d call it a walk in the park. He had a tougher draw than Federer.

How the draw will open out once the tournament starts, is actually in no one’s hands.

    1. Thanks, Juan. Here’s your translation: “When it seems impossible to do so, Federer continues to surprise us. His stoic example of remaining on the court still injured and continuing to fight, without shouting all the points or revoking his fists, is an example that transcends the sport (Saturn conjunction Jupiter trigono MC).

Now by transit, Jupiter opposing Mars is an explosion of energy, of course .. that can end in injury. Jupiter himself, who is nailed to the cusp of House 5, triggers his natal ASC by giving him optimism, hope, good luck, enjoyment.

These days, minor transits favored him: Mars in the middle of Sagittarius, making his native Mercury / Sun that gave him an incredible polenta. The Sun transiting at the beginning of Aquarius activating that wonderful aspect of his aforementioned natal chart (Saturn conjunction Jupiter in Libra trigon partil MC Geminis).

Already for the Sun and Mars semis they will have moved away from the good aspects of natal planets and unfortunately Neptune’s opposition to his native Venus is closing.

But I think that at this point the final result of this story does not matter, for me the example Federer gives us is worth much more than a grand slam.”

      1. sujith muttineni

i know federer is loosing semis with djokovic but as his fan what i want is a good fight from federer to take the match to 5 setter. This complete series he only played un seeded players and struggled in 2 matches which is not good.

        1. Trust me those unseeded players were on fire those days and could have troubled any top player, even in their top form. So all kudos to the Master

  30. I think Nadal will win tomorrow. I am giving it a try, I can be wrong so don’t blame me. It will be a full fighting match between Nadal and Thiem. I suspect a 5setter which will keep us on our toes. In the sidereal approach, Nadal is a Libra ascendant and to win a match – 3rd and 6th house needs to be strong. His 6th lord Jupiter is transiting in its own house in the 3rd house, along with a transiting South Node and natal Mars. He needs to put in a lot of effort to win this match. A concern, might be Mars over his Natal Saturn but as we know Saturn/Mars conjunction can give someone a drive especially now having a transit Mars in scorpio too. Morever, his 9th lord Venus of fortune is in the 5H of sports and passion along with natal Jupiter. I foresee a problem with the transit of the moon but it will be a nailbiting match for sure.. The time of starting match may favour him. I don’t have details of Thiem but I guess he has some wonderful transits and this will be a close game. I give it 55% for Nadal to win and 45% to Thiem.

    1. P.s. Djokovic has some good transits happening especially on the 2nd of February. Nadal’s ascendant lord will transit on the edge from on the another sign to the 6th house which can give unstable energy and if he reaches the final, I don’t think he will win. There might be some limitation or obstacle. However, this transit along with other ones will increase the potentional of Djokovic.

  31. There are two diferents charts of Alexander Zverev in astrodients: I think the real one is that who have the sun in 29.59 of aries, because when he won ATP Finals in 2019 uranus was in 29.32 aries. In any case, for the game with Wawrinka of tomorrow the moon is aplying conjuction to his south node and mars in 17 of sagitarius and neptune in 16.59 of piscis is making a T-square to his natal mars in 17 virgo, and mars of the game is empowering Wawrinka, so I think Stan will be in the semifinal of this Australian Open.

    1. I use the 3:00am chart for Zverev which makes him Sun Aries. Full data for those who want it, April 20 1997, 3:00 am, Hamburg, Germany.

  32. We have not heard from Mr James Green on today’s QFs – Wawarinka vs Zverev and Nadal vs Thiem
We are all looking forward to your observations Mr James Green

  33. Not sure if there is an astrological correlate of weather. It’s going to get upto 105 F in Melbourne on Friday!!

The matches will be likely in the evening but it still maybe hot and will test fitness of player. Also, they are talking about closing the roof, so that’s an additional twist.

  34. Been under the weather lately and so not posting here of late.for todays match stan vs zverev stan has got his jupiter sextile to his mc exact on day of final zverev has got his career planet mars in sextile to his ruling planet jupiter exact on 31st.so both have some excellent astrology but transit saturn is in 8th from stans natal moon which can derail stan.zverev appears to have the edge astrologically.i am picking nadal over theim in the other match but that could be a tough match and go down to the wire.

    1. This is interesting about Zverev – He is donating $10,000 for every match he wins and if he wins the title, all his prize money.

      1. Isn’t it interesting re. Zverev – kind of proves the law of abundance – what you give, you receive in return 🙂

    2. Great prediction, James. I think Thiem has good astrology today but it’s based on the time we have that’s not confirmed. I think it was Patrick who rectified it to 1:26am? His date of birth is September 3 1993, Wiener Neustadt, Austria, for those who want to take a look. If the time is correct, his Midheaven is 18 Pisces where Venus is today, the second benefic, i.e. a positive influence. Plus, Neptune, Pisces’ ruler has been conjunct Venus this week so its influence can also be felt. And, Thiem has the Jupiter transit moving from trine his Sun at 10 Virgo to his Mercury at 14 Virgo. Yes, he has to beat Nadal who’s awesome and Nadal has his natal Jupiter at 20 Pisces, so also picking up the Venus/Neptune influence, although not quite so close. Could be interesting though. Will be watching the match with interest – I think Nadal’s about to take a break in the 1st set.

    1. He won because it’s his time and he has so much talent! I’ve been waiting for him to break through for so long – and I hope he wins the title. I watched the highlights and he is ON FIRE!

    2. Interesting astrology, isn’t it for Zverev. It shows that square aspects can work for you – they give you grit and determination. Mars square his natal Mars, his career planet. The Neptune factor is intriguing – usually Neptune opposite a key planet isn’t beneficial – Neptune was opposing his Mars at 17 Virgo, but Neptune did have Venus coming with it. Venus rules money and Venus entered Zverev’s 2nd house ruling money the same day. Also, the Sun was conjunct his natal Uranus at 8 Aquarius in the 1st house – always a surprise! I think this is about his gesture as well to donate his prize money. Aquarius is the humanitarian sign and Neptune is ultimately compassionate, plus Venus in Pisces entering his 2nd house. Fascinating astrology.

  35. Apart from being a FAN of Sally since 2012 for her wonder sports astrology, I dont have any connection with Astrology. Based on what I have seen on TV so far, Federer will go down in straight 3 Sets if he decides to play tomorrow. I am only hoping it will not be a humbling bagel sets as I dont see him serve well. His serve speed was reduced to 140s yesterday. My query to Madam Sally and others is whether Federer will decide to play tomorrow?

  36. Can anyone please tell the astrology predictions of tomorrows semi final between Federer and Djokovic.
    Will Federer win ?

    1. I think the astrology favours the favourite, Djokovic. I’m sticking to my original prediction in the main article 1. Djokovic 2. Federer 3. Nadal. That’s the position of the top 3 – then there’s the intriguing matter of the Thiem-Zverev semi-final 🙂

      1. Sally if i may ask please .will rafa win anymore and touch 20,21 or as per astrology .his slam winning days are over ? Any other astrologers can choose to answer too please

          1. Thanks but are you sure ? What in his stars say the same ? 25 is too much..i dont even see him playing tennis for 5 more years…

What about federer n djoko ?

      2. I think it was a specially good and brave prediction Sally, that it was probable that Nadal wouldn’t make it to the final when you consider he more often than not, does reach the final. Proven right!

I think your other predictions are also correct, simply going by how others are playing and who else is left in the draw. With no Wawrinka and a not 100% Federer, it would be difficult to stop Djokovic now.

    2. sujith muttineni

as a federer fan i want him to win but as per his current condition there is 0% chances of federer winning over djokovic tomorrow.

  37. Annaswamy Sankaran

i shall not be surprised if Federer ends up winning now that effective 27th January 2020, his Mercury, the basic planet for Tennis as his main planetary dasha , joins with Jupiter as antar dasha and also has Jupiter as his pratyantar dasha. he can surprisingly lucky all the way…of course i have not seen Djokovic’s horoscope.

i should be crazy in putting this but it may turn out to be right. the tight match that federer won was on 28th. his tennis work is that he has dragged his fortune to beyond 27th Jan. my analysis is based on Natal chart and not on day to day run of planets.

    1. Highly unlikely and I think Federer is already injured and not even his @70%; He was super unfortunate in Wimbledon 2019.. It will take a miracle to get a win against Djoker when Djoker is playing at his best..

  38. Finaly, i had already understood why Zverev continue in the tournament…

Remember in open usa 2019 where the 4 finalist ( Nadal-Medveded and Bianca-Serena) has in one of his main charts mercury at 27 degrees in a air sign? The mundane chart of the great conjuction of jupiter and saturn of year 2000, that rules everything that happens in this last 20 years, has mercury at 27 degrees of gemini (and rules all the planets of the chart) and is where Nadal has his natal mercury, that is the lord of his midheaven and ascendent…

The progressive chart of Zverev has his sun at 22 degrees of taurus over jupiter and saturn of year 2000! And his progressive venus, that is the lord of this conjction is in 2 degrees of geminis, over venus of year 2000! Also his progressive jupiter at 20 aquarius is over uranus of year 2000..amazing astro!

If he was born a few minutes before 3 am, jupiter now will be in his natal ascendent.

WHY DJOKOVIC HAS WON 7 OPEN AUSTRALIA? because for Melbourne, this great conjuction of jupiter and saturn of year 2000 has aries ascendent, and mars is in 17 degrees of geminis; natal mercury of serbian Master is in 18 degrees of geminis!!! Bingo! THIS IS A BIG SECRET…
his progressive venus is now in 16 geminis…

Asleigh Barty, that i choose for wining this OA when i post the prediction, has his progressive venus that rules his natal sun in 28 geminis, just over the main planet (mercury 27 geminis) of the chart of year 2000 ( this is why she is the number 1 now). Normaly, when i make mistakes i decided to share more…

I decided to open the blog with this investigation of the chart of the great conjuction of jupiter and saturn of year 2000, because all the great champions of last 20 years has amazing synastry to that chart; i know is in spanish but is a 2 month investigation:

    https://carruselastrologico.blogspot.com/2019/08/los-grandes-triunfadores-de-los-ultimos_19.html

    Saludos, javier.

    1. Always when i wrote the words are changed ( in asleigh barty apears ‘his’ and is her..)

By far, this is the most relevant information that i share here…

        1. Its always the same : sofia kenin has mars in 22 degrees of virgo ; conjunction jupiter and saturn year 2000 22 taurus…its amazing who astrology of sports players is conected to the chart of year 2000…

Progressive venus of Barty : 28 geminis is already going away from mercury ( that rules the hands: tenis) of year 2000 in 27 geminis. When the aspect was exact she arrived to number one,

As sally sayd with Zverev: Sofia Kenin has her natal uranus in 9 degrees of aquarius ( Zverev in 8 aquarius) -now the sun is in 9 aquarius : surprise and she is in the final…

  39. For the semifinal between federer and djokovic today mars is almost over natal saturn of djokovic but in an almost trine to his natal jupiter. The nodes are squaring djokivics natal moon which is normally bad.but for federer the nodes are in an exact square to his natal saturn which cannot bring success.so i pick djokovic to win.

      1. I would also love for Thiem to win. He’s worked so hard and deserves it – but Djokovic is so dominant a the moment. I fear for the future of tennis if no one steps-up at some point…

        1. I think this could be the last year that the top players will dominate in the way they have so far. Looking back at Grand Slams, Federer started winning in 2003 but hasn’t won for two years, Nadal started winning in 2005 and hasn’t stopped, Djokovic started winning in 2008 and has had a few dips but is currently dominant once again. As Javier mentions, there will be a new Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in December 2020 which occurs once every 20 years. This is an important shift for the world in general as the planets start to move away from Capricorn – old order, establishment, hierarchy – to Aquarius – new order, collective, equality. If you translate this in to tennis terms, it’s time for the ‘old boys’ to make way for the new wave of tennis players. I do find it quite remarkable that we can’t see who that will be yet – there’s no-one who has been consistently winning but I feel it’s time for a new wave of top players to emerge, certainly by 2021. And probably, we won’t end up with a trio of players dominating either – the Grand Slam titles will be shared more equally.

  40. Hello to all my friends who love tennis and stars …
So far I have not written a line of predictions, but today I have some time, and I was able to check something.
I believe that the AU open 2020 will be won by Alexander Zverev, the mistreated…
I am not only based on an astrological forecast, but also on the trend of biorhythms, as I also did in Wimbledon, someone will remember. It is the one best placed in this regard.
And astrologically it is still enjoying the transit of Uranus on the natal Sun, which has a very large orbit of influence over time, like all the Saturnian over, and has now returned to around 2.50 of the Taurus, only two degrees distant from the natal Sun by Zverev.
Based on all this,I believe that this aspect is even more alive than ever, and must necessarily “explode”, typical of the planet.
Too bad we don’t have an exact birth date, but this already makes me think that he wins. Or at least it will be the toughest opponent to beat.

    1. sujith muttineni

ATP finals in nov 2019 and ATP cup in jan 2020 zverev struggled with his game and injuries, all of a sudden he is playing excellent tennis in AU open 2020 may be he got something special during this time.

  41. Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Well i am not an astrologer, but i am a spiritual person. From the spiritual perspective, i believe that Zverev is going to win this tournament because of one reason, that is the big big heart of Zverev to donate the entire money to bushfire relief fund.

Zverev was playing badly in atp finals and even in atp cup, but all of a sudden he is playing so so nicely in this AO to reach semi finals, because he is getting all the positive vibrations and huge positive energies from all the people around the world (not just australians or germans) which is tremendously helping him to play to his best level. I think, those postives are going to propel him to even go on and win this AO. Let us see.

N.B. : I do not deny any astrological angles being discussed here at the same time.

    Thanks,
    Sankar

    1. I agree in what you say – whether it’s enough for him to win the tournament remains to be seen. But, Zverev has played more freely and has done extraordinarily well after a year not playing well. What you give….

      1. Thank You Sally for agreeing in some sense. I am watching Zverev now, he is 1 set up and the more interesting thing, like you said, he is playing so freely, in a much much relaxed manner, like a super cool guy on this tournament probably like Roger

  42. For the semifinal between theim and zverev jupiter at the time of the match is in a trine to the mercury of theim. mercury is the ruling planet for theim as per sidereal astrology.the moon at the time of the match is in the last degree of pisces going to the second from theims moon sighn and to eighth from zverevs moon sighn.moon clearly favours theim.zverevs career planet in sextile to his ruling planet jupiter is no doubt good but it has started seperating and not good enough to overcome bad transit of moon.Theim will win the match.

    1. Thiem has a strong Jupiter transit. Zverev has something else altogether going on with his astrology – I think it shows in the tournament chart which ties in to his own astrology it’s about his charitable gesture, shown by the Moon/Mars Sagittarius – Venus/Neptune Pisces. Also the Jupiter-Neptune sextile aspect that’s within orb during the tournament and are the two rulers of the ASC/MC of the tournament chart – again, this is a giving combination. Zverev has been playing more freely after a difficult year. Traditionally, I favour Thiem because of Jupiter.

  43. Ok, the “biorhythmic” prediction on Zverev has failed, let’s go into that of the final.
    There are various clues.
On February 2 at 7.40 pm, the beginning of Melbourne, Nole has transit, on the birth chart, Jupiter almost on the ascendant, in progression, and a great Moon exactly above his natal Venus (as symptomatic as ever with inner joy).
But above all it has, in the transits on its secondary direction (progression) taken as the evolving birth chart, transit Mars to the MC, transit Sun almost trine to the moon, but above all a sextile of Uranus exact to the transit monomer to the Sun.
Let us remember that this last aspect, in terms of transits on the birth chart but the concept is the same, is what has accompanied it throughout the 2011 season, that of its definitive explosion.
All this obviously makes me think that the eighth title in Melbourne cannot escape him.

Seeing then in perspective that Jupiter will arrive in transit exactly on the ascendant and in the first house, and will remain there for a while becoming retrograde, but above all Saturn in aquarius in trine to his Sun in twins, I preach that this could be for him the year of the conquest of the Grand Slam.

I do not even go into analysis and prediction for Thiem, because obviously for what has been said for me he cannot win.

    1. Andreas Don’t count Thiem out yet . Thiem has a winning record against Djokovic in the last 12 months . In fact , Thiem has won 4 of the last 5 of their meetings , the last one being in the ATP Finals last November , in indoors hardcourt , Djokovic’s best surface .

  44. Hi sally,

You’re spot on yet again. Djokovic looks the favorite to claim 8th Australian open. As expected 3rd seeded player yet to win Australian open after the open era. Thiem looks promising but with Djokovic on top, it is difficult to win in hard courts and with such a great past records.

I would like to know if Roger has a chance to add one grandslam this year.

    1. Wimbledon will always be his best chance – not that I’ve checked his astrology yet. One Grand Slam at a time is my way 🙂

  45. It is incredible, but symptomatic.
After federer and nadal came out, it seems that astrological predictions are no longer of interest, and almost nobody publishes a post anymore 🙂 …
Yet tomorrow there is the men’s final of the AU open 2020, those who love tennis and astrology should have their say.
More than astrology enthusiasts, I know that here the usual tennis fanatics hang out, who were only interested in seeing their idols go on, and possibly win obviously.

    1. I agree it’s not hugely exciting. I would love a new Grand Slam winner to be fair but I think the astrology favours Djokovic. Both Thiem and Djokovic have Jupiter transits: Djokovic has Jupiter making a positive sextile aspect to his Midheaven, career point, exact on February 3rd. Thiem has Jupiter square Mars exact on the day of the final, a feisty, competitive transit but I think Djokovic’ Jupiter transit to the Midheaven is superior. Thiem does have Jupiter trine his natal Mercury, the tennis planet, on February 6th, so that helps too. Again, I would favour the Jupiter transit to the Midheaven of Djokovic. Looking at the minor transits, Thiem’s are stronger, especially Sun trine Mars on the day of the final. However, for me the chart of the final says it all – you can see the chart at the bottom of the article. The favourite (Djokovic) is symbolised by the Moon exalted in Taurus on the Midheaven, career point and a strong placing for success. The Moon makes only helpful supportive planetary aspects. The second favourite (Thiem) is symbolised by Saturn, strong in its sign of rulership, but next to Pluto on the Descendant. I have to go Djokovic.

      1. I, on the other hand, find this finale very exciting, absolutely …
Nole goes towards the possible eighth title in Melbourne, an absolute record and, above all, he can return n. 1.
Thiem can finally break the taboo, and conquer his first big title.
Besides, there are also contrasts of style to make the game interesting, Nole more solid and complete, Thiem bomber and lightning accelerations.
If these are not exciting reasons I don’t know … one must be a lover of sport in general and of tennis in this case, not a lover only of one’s idols.

For astrology itself, the transit Sun that you indicate of Thiem, of course you mean the trine from the aquarius, because there is no conjunction.
It seems to me a position that cannot affect this much, I have now learned to doubt the trigonocracy, which in my opinion does not have much strength in a transit horoscope, unless it is supported by many other more important aspects.
And if a trine holds, it is that of the slow planets to the personal planets, that is, Sun Moon.
For Djokovic I see what I wrote in the previous post, that is that in addition to having a more favorable astrology tomorrow, he has it above all and medium-short term with Jupiter ascending, and Saturn in trine to the Sun.
They seem to me two aspects of a combination of great luck.

        1. Djokovic’s Saturn is 6 degrees away from his sun so it’s not in play. And he has Mars exactly opposite Chiron on the day of the final.

          1. You did not understand what I wrote, that is that Saturn is in prospect a great passage for Djokovic, not tomorrow.

      2. Hi Sally…any thoughts on rafas stars for the year and referees n Djokovic ? Will rafa make it to 20 or 21 ? Does fed have one more in him ? Any thoughts please..

Regarding tomm..i hope thiem wins..good to see a shake up

      3. Bravo, Sally! You got it right, from the very beginning!

I think we did see some of the Mars transit opposite Djokovic’s Chiron, some “wounding”, during sets two and three of the final. But the Jupiter transit sextile his Midheaven told the story of the winner.

Thanks again for offering your excellent analysis and predictions. You do a great service to astrology.

    2. You are true to an extent but until players outside of top 3 win couple of slams, there always this learned hopelessness that they will fizzle away.

Like Sally, I want Thiem to win. Nothing against Djoker but it will be a nice change. Might spur up likes of Zverev, Tsitsipas and Medvedev!!

    3. I think part of the reason was also, during the US Open 2019, there were several ‘righteous’ astrologers who suggested that those without astrology knowledge should not be stating their opinions as this forum is all about astrology tennis. It may seem as nuisance to some, but what’s the fun of a tennis blog without some tennis fanatics contributing to the forum respectfully (of course, we should bar those who are disrespectful to players and rude to others)

I don’t see some of the usual names – Rinku, Timmy, etc. this time.

      1. Well you still remember that 😂🙏🏽. I do remember that too. However, let us give benefit of doubt – happened in moment of heat (when prophecies are not coming to fruition, the frustration comes 🤓). But hey we tennis enthusiasts are still here; despite being Federer fan, still reading and commenting 🙏🏽

      2. I agree that all are welcome to comment. I have blocked some in the past who are disrespectful or rude – not my way. Not this tournament. It’s been relatively quiet – maybe more people will surface for the French Open and Wimbledon.

  46. The mens singles final is slated to start at 7.30 pm at melbourne today.as after the toss and warm up the actual play usually starts at about 15 minutes later i have taken the time as 7.45 pm.7th degree cancer rises and MC is 27.58 aries making moon the ruling planet and mars the lord of MC.moon is placed in 24th degree of aries close to the MC which normally is good for the favourite.the 7th lord denoting the opponent saturn is placed in the 7th in own sighn which makes the opponent very strong.this means there is going to be a tremendous struggle for the trophy.the favourite djokovics MC is at 23.00 degree libra (i use a rectified time of 23.29pm) at the time of the final jupiter is sextile to his mc which is quite favourable but it is more than one and a half degree away from an exact sextile.moreover mars the lord of midheaven is in a trine to his natal ruling planet jupiter but going over his natal saturn separating but still within a degree.this shows mixed results.coming to theim jupiter on the day of the final is trine to his natal mercury his ruling planet but still more than a degree away.what is interesting is theim has his mc at 27.42 aquarius and mars the lord of mc for the final chart is in exact aspect to theims natal mc and the mc of the final chart is in exact sextile to theims natal mc.moreover the moon of the final is in almost exact sextile to theims ascendent.therefore i pick theim to win the final.the two players with the best astrology for the australian open have entered the final.

    1. James Green Very good analysis , and I agree , though I’m not an astrologer . Thiem has won 4 of the last 5 of their meetings . So he has an edge with recorded statistics , and his good astrology would back him up.
I really hope he wins . Though I’m a Nadal fan , a new face is always welcome and refreshing . But not in FO !! Lol

      1. Arnado..rafan here too..you think Rafa will touch 21?..somehow i think rg is up for grabs this year .not just thiem but even djoko can go for it ..

Beyond rg, uso is next best bet but rafa has never won uso back to back..n he will be 34 plus next year..so maybe he will get 20 with difficulty but not sure where 21 will come from ? Wimby n ao are kinda jinxed for him now esp ao..

        1. Sanju He has a shot at Wimbledon and US Open , defending on his draw and health and also if Wimbledon will keep the roof open when he plays . I believe that he is still the favorite at RG , though it remains to be seen whether the adding of the roof will affect his game . The AO is cursed for him , especially now with the new green turf . One problem that I see with his game is the mental aspect of it . He has been choking lately . He should have won his quarterfinal match against , but he choked serving for the first set at 5-3 . If he won that first set , it would have been a different match . Since it’s been happening a lot of times now , it has become a problem , a big one . This is Nadal’s huge problem when facing Federer , most especially Djokovic. He and his team must fix it ASAP or he won’t be the GOAT .

          1. Agree Amado..i just hope rafa gets to 21 somehow..but again i have my doubts .is rg having a roof this year itself..i thought next year 21 right ..wimby will be nice but frankly he is behind djoko n fed there..uso he is doing better but this is olympics year ..rafa needs to put himself over team competitions like atp n Davis cup..yes the nerves of steel rafa has vanished .now the mentally fragile one rearing his head always..it’s got to do with age i think..

  47. This is NOT astrology related but recorded facts about the two finalists .
The head-to-head career stat between Djokovic and Thiem is 6-4 in favor of Djokovic . But in the last 12 months , Thiem has recorded a winning record against Djokovic . In fact , Thiem has won 4 of the last 5 of their encounters. The last two ones were at the French Open and the ATP Finals event . It is also a known fact that Dhokovic has a losing record against the Next Gen players which include Tsitsipas , Zverev and Medvedev , to name a few . According to some tennis experts , Thiem has the game to beat Djokovic in his favorite slam . The only problem that Thiem will have is nerves . But he has been in the finals of a slam three times , though it’s his first in hard court , so maybe he could overcome them . There is this adage in sports which says ” Three’s a charm ” . Moreover , the victory of Sofia Kenin , a new name , will most likely inspire Thiem to pull this one out .
Maybe tomorrow will usher in a new era in tennis .
Yeah , three will be a charm .

    1. More than anything, hope that Thiem will win, as a fanatic fan of nadal or federer … he feels a mile away.
But here we are talking about applied astrology tennis, not your own desires, you understand? …

      1. Andreas I was only stating recorded statistics about the two . I specifically stated that my comment was NOT astrology , but facts . You did not understand me .

    1. Thank you 🙂 Re. your question re. the top 3 and the year ahead. I find predicting in that way for the Grand Slam wins doesn’t work for me. I only seem to do well when I focus on one Grand Slam at a time. So, that is what I shall continue to do 🙂

  48. I would be really interested to see our beloved astrologers to take a dig at the year ahead for big 3. I mean of course it is a humble request. We enthusiasts here would be excited to get an insight into how the year may unfold. Not really about the slams but in general how it looks like?
    What do you say?

  49. Centered prediction for the final.
Sorry once again for Dominic, great player, but Nole is too big a champion for everyone. Invincible even when it seems dead.
Sooner or later Thiem a slam will win him, he is sure.
Thanks obviously to Sally also for her prediction, and for the space she gives us.
Much less praise for those who are only fanatic fans for their idol and are not an objective person, and astrology interests them very little.

    1. Andreas I beg to differ with you . This forum needs tennis fans , fanatic or not , to be vibrant and lively , let alone thrive . Who do you suppose to read the astrologers’ predictions if not those tennis fans ? Those fans , at times , will give their comments and are following the rules set out by Sally . Otherwise , their comments will not be posted at all .
Do you really want your predictions to be read by only your co- astrologers ? That defeats the very purpose of this forum . This forum is well and alive because of fans , fanatic or not , and astrologers like you .
Please learn to take opinions of fans , fanatic or not .

      1. You observe how few comments there are when compared to when nadal and federer are on the field, then draw your conclusions.
Pure fanaticism, especially for the latter.

          1. Faith Many are rooting now for underdogs . Clearly , they want a change . The men’s tennis is at state of stale now . From the very start of this tournament , Djokovic has been the clear winner , with a very good draw coupled with good astrology . Hence , there is this lack of excitement and hope for the rest of the field . It seems , though , that the Big Three are staying longer than we want .

          2. I think it’s that people want to see a new winner. It will come – I’m predicting 2021 for the big sea-change.

        1. i remember how people wanted new blood in 2015-2016 when Novak won everything.
Then Novak got injured,Roger&Rafa won again and desire for new blood stopped.
They were delighted in 2018 celebrating Fedal.
But then Nole came back…and so did the desire for new blood. 😉

      2. I am always happy to hear fan’s thoughts as they add to the forum. I only block the people who can’t behave nicely 🙂 Actually, that hasn’t happened to anyone this tournament – hooray!

        1. I am a tennis fan. I do have favourites – yes. My favourites do not win because of the top 3. However, I like the way the variety of players in WTA – and the winners are unexpected and welcomed. I can’t say the same about ATP – for now. I am looking forward to 2021 like Sally said. Cheers to variety to keep the game alive and well. Cheers to astrologers with their explanations to keep me interested and fans like me who try to understand and eager to know more.

  50. Sally , congratulations for another spot on prediction !!!
To all astrologers who contributed their knowledge in this forum , thanks a lot .
Looking forward to French Open for another entertaining and engaging forum .
    See you in May !!

  51. Congrats Sally – you are impressive. As for the winner, he isn’t who I rooted for. The game has lost it’s fun. It is always the the top 3 and frankly it is not exciting anymore, unlike the WTA – there is variety. Any great player has a chance and it is nice to see. I hope this will be the last of the top 3 dominance. I am rooting for other male players to take up the challenge and go for it, with the help of astrology supportIng the change.

    1. Thank you 🙂 I agree, I wasn’t excited about this tournament at all, even if I did get the 1, 2, 3 in the right order! That was exciting. I think it will change next year because of the major astrology shifting from Capricorn to Aquarius but for this year, well, we’ll see. A while to wait until the French Open.

      1. sujith muttineni

it really hurts to see thiem loosing from where he should have won…

hopefully next gen players start winning from this year french open only…..

    2. Hey! It’s great to see your analysis.
Given the fact that RG and US open will be held after September, do you see any chance for FEDERER to win any of these?
Or possibly any slam before he retires?
As we do not have Wimbledon this year, it might be the case that we might not see him play Wimbledon again

      1. Thank you for your comment. I don’t think there’s any point trying to predict what’s going to happen yet. As with all areas of life, this may be the time when significant changes come into the Grand Slam format – Federer’s already talking about bringing the mens and womens tennis together in a more united way. Predicting with astrology is only possible in the context of what’s happening in a person’s life or the life of the collective at any given time. As we’re currently in a significant period of change, we need to wait and see what plays out over the next few months. I would be surprised if the Grand Slams happen this year at all. I think we need to wait until 2021.

  52. There was one thing i missed when looking at the final chart. The moon of the final was bang opposite dhokovic’s MC which clearly explains his success. Moreover the moon of the tournament chart was in the exact 10th from djokovic’s progressed ascendent. These two factors had missed my eyes.It is very time consuming to look at progressions when so many players are involved but missing the fact that moon of the final was aspecting djokovic’s MC was careless of me.

    1. You are a great astrologer, James. I always appreciate reading your predictions and I agree, you can’t look at everything, which is why it’s so gpopd to have this forum with people offering their different predictions based on sidereal, vedic, progressions, lunar returns, numerology, biorythyms etc. It makes for a great mix.

    2. Sally in my first post on this blog i had also picked djokovic as no1 favourite and had also said a over 30 player will win and the next generation will have to wait i got a little distracted by the moon of the tournament chart in an exact trine to theim’s natal moon and so picked him to win the final.Any way congratulations once again for getting the winner right.

      1. I do remember you saying that, James. It’s easy to get distracted by the astrology. It’s often why I stick to my original prediction even mid-tournament 🙂

    1. Yes, I saw. Saturn rules knees and the astrology isn’t clear in my opinion. Mars has just entered Capricorn (Saturn’s star sign) and will make a square aspect to Roger’s natal Saturn at 6 Libra – exact next week – so perhaps that’s a factor). I’m not sure it was a great idea to do it while Mercury was retrograde though – Rogers’ ruling planet and career planet. We’ll have to see whether there are added complications or whether it’s a smooth run to recovery. Not great for him, by any means.

      1. dear sally as per vedic astrology federer started the sub period of saturn in the major period of mercury on 15/01/2020.as you rightly said saturn rules knees and the 10th house also rules knees.saturn is in an exact trine to federers natal MC in his chart.saturn is also transiting at the moment in rogers 6th house.6th house is the house of surgery.this clearly explains his knee surgery.

          1. Dear Sally

Indian Wells has been cancelled. Does it seem likely that Roland Garross will also be canceled due the coronz virus?

          2. It doesn’t surprise me – I think this is going to be a brutal month for sporting fixtures being cancelled as Mars is now active in Capricorn, as well as other events. Mars accelerates what it touches and the spread of the virus is speeding up. I gave my take on the current astrology in this article: Corona Virus: The Astrology which you may find helpful to read with regard to timing.

        1. Thank you for the insight Sally. Many football maches have been canceled. The ones that are not will have no supporters. I hope this situation comes to an end.

          1. Yes, sport is getting hit hard, as are other big events – devastating impact for many areas. I suspect this is the peak month because of Mars’ involvement. We will hopefully know more by the end of March.

          2. Roland Garros postponed to September shortly after U.S. Open. This makes me wonder who will win as RG title seems in danger for Nadal as US Open and RG are back to back.

          3. Well, I don’t think we can speculate on that at the moment. We have to take one day at a time with our current devastating global crisis – the Saturn/Pluto conjunction on steroids! I’ll be doing my best to let you know what the astrology says about the timing of all of this – keep your eyes on the website and my social media channels.

          4. Its unfortunate for sports but more for the world. I wish everyone well in this difficult time and hope we will overcome this together. Keeping an eye on your social media and website.

    2. Tennis season has postponed until July now. I just have the feeling tennis will one of the last sports to start up quickly again. They have so many international players around the world and it is a global sport, how will players be able to move around if they are going to be in quarantine.

    3. Hi Sally,
Do you think Federer will win Wimbledon next year or any other grand slams? or He will ever win a grand slam again. I am curious to know about this. Also, discuss the retirement of Federer? Please.

  53. Hi Sally,
Do you think Federer will win Wimbledon next year or any other grand slams? or He will ever win a grand slam again. I am curious to know about this. Also, discuss the retirement of Federer? Please.

    1. Sally Kirkman

I can’t do this right now. Astrology needs to be read in context of what’s happening within your life/the world around you. Otherwise, it becomes stale & meaningless. Federer isn’t just being lead by his stars, his fate; he has free will to decide his best course of action. For example, Federer may choose not to stay at his optimum level of fitness as he’s not playing competitive tennis. How much he wants to put into his tennis will be his decision and he would need extraordinary drive to keep up his competitive spirit during this period. So, I won’t look at any player’s astrology right now until we know more about what’s happening in our world. Personally, I don’t think we’ll see competitive tennis in 2020. This year is an extraordinary year in our lifetime and the moves we all make will depend on our own limitations with what is or is not possible.

        1. Hi Vee, no I’m not doing predictions for the US Open. I decided some time ago as it didn’t feel right in the current climate.

        1. I’m not sure why you think the pandemic is coming to an end? It isn’t over. I won’t be making predictions for the Australian Open – no. I’m not sure I’m going to open up the tennis/astrology Grand Slam blogs again. I will make a decision at Wimbledon 2021. Hopefully, someone else will pick up the baton and provide a forum for everyone. I know it’s been very enjoyable for a lot of people.

    2. Sally,

Nadal has dropped out of the US Open. Fededer won’t be there as well. So first time in 21 years that Nadal and Federer are both absent.

Djokovic will play the US Open. What are his chances of winning?

      1. I’m not going to be covering the US Open as it doesn’t feel right with our global situation. The astrology tennis predictions will continue once again in 2021. Stay safe.

        1. Dear Sally
Could you open a thread on your blog for the French Open? You’re not making any predictions this year, but I miss the discussions among your readers and would like to see a bit of normality. It’s been normal for years for you to have such a discussion among astrology enthusiasts per Grand Slam. Thank you!

          1. Hi Philippe, thank you for your comment. My life is currently in transition so I don’t know what I’ll be continuing with next year. Certainly, there will be changes to my astrology services but I like your idea.

          2. hi Philippe, I have just realised that the French Open is happening now! Apologies – I am so out of touch with the tennis this year. It’s been on for a week already, so I am not going to open the forum. Let’s see what next year brings…

    1. hi Sathia, I’ve already posted on here that I won’t be doing predictions. I know they are much loved but it’s not where my focus is right now with the pandemic still ongoing. You could check out Capricorn Research who has made predictions for this Grand Slam – I can highly recommend his astrology – and if anyone wants to start a forum elsewhere, let me know and I’ll chip in. Stay well.

      1. Thank You Sally for taking time and responding to my request. Really great gesture referring another astrologer prediction. My Respect !! Stay Well Sally.

      2. Hi Sally,

        How are you ?

There appears to be a vacuum during this Australian Open 2021. Without your forum there is no fizz to the Grand Slam for your followers. Now that the tournament has reached the Quarter Final stage, we would all request you to find time and give your predictions. We could also get the view points of Messrs Javier, James Green, Andreas, Amado. Astrotennis and other ardent participants. We appeal to you once again to give your predictions for the final leg of Australian Open 2021.

        1. hi Raman, thank you for your comment but I won’t be doing tennis predictions this year until Wimbledon and that depends on the pandemic. Hopefully, someone else will take up the baton 🙂 Sending best wishes.

          1. Thank you Sally.

We look forward to reading your predictions during Wimbledon 2021.

            Best wishes ; stay safe.

            Thanks once again

    1. Hi Sally
I’m one of the regular follower in this forum for quite sometime. Looking for your predictions soon in this forum like everyone does. Meanwhile thanks for referring Juan’s predictions on French Open 2021. Would be happier if translation in English is available. Thanks.

    2. Sally, with Djokovic winning RG I am looking forward to your Wimbledon prediction. Djokovic can win all Grand Slams this year.

  54. According to Capricorn Research UK the French Open 2021 Chart indicates the FAVOURITE will win and so has predicted that Nadal will win.

  55. How do we get to read James Green’s Sidereal Astrology for French Open 2021 ?

Sally, could you please help us ?

    1. Sally Kirkman

I don’t know. My tips were Nadal and Tsitsipas because of Jupiter in Pisces. I commented on Juan’s page. I haven’t looked at the chart for the tournament.

      1. Thanks a lot Sally. I read your comments on Juan’s page. According to Juan, Djokovic and Tstsipas are the two who have the best astrology for the tournament.

As per Capricorn Astrology Research, it will be either Nadal or Djokovic. Djokovic has the stronger transits, Jupiter square his Mars but the contest chart for the final goes for the favourite, just like it did in Rome, so that points to Nadal again.

Your viewpoints on this Sally ?

  56. I have not studied the Astrology for the french open in any detail. As per sidereal astrology cancer 21st degree rises and its lord moon is placed in the 7th in capricorn along with saturn.Saturn is exactly on the 7th cusp and aspects the Ascendent powerfully. This means an old player who are 30 plus will win the tournament. The jupiter of the tournament chart is in 9th degree of aquarius aspecting Nadal’s MC which means Nadal will most likely win the tournament. The only thing is the solar eclipse on 10th june takes place right on the 8th cusp of nadal’s chart.Normally an eclipse on the 8th cusp may mean an injury or even death(If the person is at the fag end of his life)So how this eclipse affects will have to be seen.I got a birth time of 12.38 PM for tsitsipas. If this is correct then Jupiter is in an exact aspect to his natal Ascendent during the tournament and Mars is in an exact square to his Ascendent on the day of the final which can prove lucky for winning.Let us wait and see.

    1. I am indeed thankful to you James Green for offering your views. What are the chances for Djokovic ?

      Thanks once again.

    2. Hi James, sidereal Nadal is a Libra rising and the eclipse falls in his 8H Taurus at 16 degrees whereas his Sun (11th lord) in the nakshatra of moon (10th house lord) is at 19 degrees. Eclipses don’t have to be bad for Nadal this could mean a major win as his 11th house (wishes) and 10th house (career and reputation) are involved in the eclipse. I think this win will transform him.

      1. He will surpass Federer’s record of maximum grand slam and will become the greatest of all time !! That may be a transformation fitting of coinciding with Solar Eclipse!!

P.S. Nadal is favorite at French Open regardless of major astrology, so if three astrologers are predicting, I think it’s open and shut case. :-]

        1. There are two other astrologers on other fora who favour Tsitsipas and Djokovic for the win. Nadal’s astrology doesn’t look good accordimg to them. I recall the tournament chart hints at the favourite winning so once Nadal goes past Djokovic he is winning. For Tsitsipas the stars might be in his favour that he reaches a GS final but we all know beating Nadal here at RG is a difficult task.

I like your analysis as 8H has a lot to do with transformations but we look at their lord too. Venus in 9H so destiny, Sun 11th lord and moon 10th lord. Sounds fitting he can be the GOAT.

          1. Not sure if I’ve said on this blog but I went for Nadal and Tsitsipas at the start of the tournament based solely on Jupiter’s move into Pisces. I didn’t look at the astrology any further than that. Looking forward to the semis. I promise to try to be back for Wimbledon as you’re all still so keen!

          2. Hi Sally, what role does Jupiter play in your analysis? Also,, how do you think Mercury Rx affects the tennis players + the solar eclipse of today.

  57. Eclipse falls in sidereal 27 degree taurus which is 8th cusp of nadal’s natal chart.Eclipses can be tricky it can both be bad and good on different aspects of life.My no1 Astrological favourite is nadal to lift the french open

  58. Hi Sally,
Wimbledon season is here, the draws have been announced. Kindly provide your insights . Eagerly waiting!!
