Aries (21 March – 19 April)
There’s a major planetary shift in the heavens this month and it’s great news for you. This involves Jupiter, the planet of opportunity, which enters your fellow fire sign of Sagittarius on the 8th. Jupiter remains here until December 2019. At its best, this feels like the equivalent of one long beach party.
Jupiter takes approximately one year to journey through each sign of the zodiac so the last time Jupiter was in Sagittarius was 12 years ago. Sagittarius is the sign of wide open spaces and this offers you an opportunity to start a new adventure and make the most of life.
Jupiter rules travel, study, philosophy, spirituality, any activity that expands your horizons and broadens your experience of life. There’s a feel-good factor to Jupiter in Sagittarius which boosts your desire to party and celebrate. Make fun and joy high priorities over the next year. Think of work as play, discover your passion and enjoy what you do in life.
If you want to travel abroad or live in another country, if you want to take a sabbatical from work and explore a new direction, it starts with believing and knowing that anything’s possible. Set your intentions as Jupiter’s year of exploration begins and let the universe hear your voice.
This is a wonderful opportunity to think globally, expand your network and reach out to other people in different countries and cultures. You want to see the world or save the world as Jupiter is closely linked to philanthropy and charitable actions. Jupiter rules publishing, the Law, truth and humanity. Stake your claim and begin your voyage of discovery.
The key dates this month to embrace this new energy are the 8th when there’s a Moon/Jupiter conjunction and the 26th when there’s a Sun/Jupiter conjunction. Be open to options, say Yes to new experiences and do something adventurous on or around these dates. This feels lucky for you and the events that take place will help signpost your way forward in the year ahead.
Note, however, that communication planet Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius on the 17th and remains on go slow until December 6th. Therefore, think of this as the planning stage, do your research and find out more about travel and study options or what next.
Mercury connects with Jupiter on the 27th but this is internal rather than external. Mercury retrograde themes are often about second chances or things not working out at first. It’s important to remain flexible and not give up if you falter at the first hurdle. Keep the faith.
The important date to note is December 21st when these two planets come together once again and this time both are moving forwards. This is when the right opportunity will land in your lap.
This month’s astrology does feel restless for you, although it’s a good thing to be pursuing your wanderlust. Another reason why change is on the horizon is the fact that live-wire Uranus moves back into your star sign, Aries, on the 6th where it remains until March 6th 2019. Uranus was in Aries from 2010 until May 2018 and this is its last flicker. It won’t be back in your star sign for another 80 years.
This unleashes your inner rebel, activist tendencies and your desire to do things differently. Fire sign energy is strong this month. If you’ve been wallowing in deep emotions or feeling sad or lost, things could happen quickly. Fire signs like yourself are motivated, spontaneous and ready for action.
On the 8th, Jupiter leaves Scorpio where it’s been since October 2017. Scorpio rules joint finances and shared resources in your horoscope. In theory, Jupiter adds wealth and abundance to the area of your horoscope it triggers.
You may have received a bonus, an inheritance or boosted your financial well-being via a partnership or collaboration this past year. Alternatively, it may have been a year when you’ve dealt with debt or found a way to pay back money that’s owed.
The Sun remains in Scorpio until the 22nd and there’s a New Moon in this same sector of your horoscope on the 7th. This indicates that the work you’ve put in over the past year could now pay off. Use the New Moon energy in particular to set new intentions around earning money and organise your finances.
Another big shift for you this month concerns your ruling planet Mars. On the 15th, Mars finally leaves air sign Aquarius, where it’s been predominantly since May of this year. Aquarius rules friends, groups and the collective. You may have been a political animal while Mars was in Aquarius or been more involved in society and your local community.
Mars moves into Pisces and the most hidden sector of your horoscope on the 15th, where it remains until New Year’s Day. This indicates a time for reflection and contemplation, so create time and space to be quiet and enjoy solitude.
As Jupiter enters Sagittarius, Mars enters Pisces and both signs are connected to religion and spirituality. What are you searching for, what are you seeking and where do you find fulfilment and faith? These are the questions to ask yourself in the last two months of 2018.
Finally, on the 16th, love planet Venus turns direct in Libra and your relationship sector. This is a gorgeous green light for close relationships whether you hear from someone who’s been quiet or you’re ready to let someone know your true feelings. The 9th is an important date for love as is the 16th. Friday night is date night this November.
