Aries (21 March-19 April)
Are you pleased April’s behind you? I know many Aries people are as it was such a choppy month with the Cardinal Grand Cross and a Lunar Eclipse cutting across the Aries/Libra axis. In other words, major change for some, unsettled times for many.
Mars remains in your opposite sign of Libra this month where it’s hanging out for most of 2014 to be fair. Mars entered Libra at the end of last year and only moves on at the end of July 2014. So lessons around relationships are high on the agenda and learning how to compromise, how to work alongside other people and how to handle your anger or frustration with others.
Mars in Libra doesn’t allow you to stride forth like you want to in life being an Aries and you may find your hands are tied because you either a) have to rely on other people, b) you’re in a partnership that’s challenging but an area of deep learning or c) someone won’t do what you want them to do.
If none of this makes sense to you, notice who in your life pushes your buttons and where you find yourself getting mad and acting out of character. My own Aries Ascendant has had a few of those this year…
One key relationship in your life may also be at tipping point this month and if you’re in an unhappy relationship, something’s got to give. Certainly there’s a balancing act going on as Venus ruling love and your partner planet enters your sign of Aries and on the 11th opposes your ruling planet Mars in Libra. Look out for a person or event which tips the scales out of alignment on or around this date and if there is someone in your life who’s being a pain, you may discover that you’ve reached your tipping point.
The 11th-18th brings potential challenge your way as Venus moves through the Grand Cross planets but to be honest it’s unlikely to be anything new and you know how to handle it. Changes at work or office politics may create tension and if in doubt don’t take sides as such, but at the same align yourself with the people who call the shots or who make the big decisions.
Mars, your ruler, is back up to speed on the 20th when it turns direct in Libra indicating that you’re back in charge, it’s the calm after the storm. On the whole, it’s to your advantage to work at getting on with others in May and to keep the peace.
The best news, however, is that with Venus in Aries from the 3rd to the 29th most of May feels a fresh breeze after April and Venus gives you a welcome boost. If you look good, you feel good and Venus enhances your self-esteem and your belief and trust in who you are.
Venus acts like a magnet and draws people toward you, which is good news for most areas of life, love, money, work, socialising, etc. Your popularity soars and you want to be more sociable, get out and about and make new friends. This is confirmed as Mercury, planet of communication is in friendly Gemini from the 7th to the 29th and Mercury and Venus connect easily with each other not once but twice this month on the 15th and the 28th.
This is lovely for flirtatious behaviour, getting to know someone new, letting your curiosity for life lead you down a new path and for cordial relations in general. If you’re looking for love, May is perfect so take steps to meet new people, ask for introductions, join an online dating site or whatever takes your fancy.
Your image is important too with Venus in Aries and this is a wonderful month to rebrand or launch a business, new venture or social media profile. Your first house (Aries) rules your name, your image and your appearance.
Finally, there’s a breakthrough with regard to money matters this month. Saturn has been putting the dampers on joint financial transactions for some time now and reminding you of your limitations. Saturn opposes planets in the money sign Taurus on the 3rd and 10th hinting that less is more and that you’re wise to live within your means. However, and this is a big however, on the 14th there’s a Full Moon cutting across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of your horoscope and on the 24th Jupiter in Cancer aligns perfectly with Saturn in Scorpio. The 6th feels lucky too.
This indicates your way out, your release from a tricky financial situation. It either involves property, your home, your family or a link to your past. It involves movement, so perhaps selling or buying or renting out a room. For some, it’s about a family business that assists everyone or someone at home who’s willing to lend the money you need.
Think back to July 2013 and the Grand Water Trine that was powerful at that time. Something you began back then or a seed that was sown now bears fruit and flourishes beautifully for you.
