It’s a slow start to the month as five planets are in the sign of Pisces, the sector of your chart that’s hidden away and secretive. Mars your ruler is there until the 12th, the Sun (ego), Venus (love), Mercury (mind) and Neptune (dreams/confusion). In addition, Mercury, the communication planet remains retrograde, i.e. on go slow until the 17th.
This is a mixed bag and the main message is to take things easy and go with the flow as best you can. You may be feeling under the weather with so many planets hidden away in your chart or bored and uninspired. One of my favourite phrases when things aren’t working out is “this too shall pass” and if you are struggling, try your best to work with life rather than against it. Rest, meditate and listen to your unconscious, your inner voice. This can act as a guide and help you live more intuitively.
The two planets that are happiest in Pisces are Venus (love) and Neptune (imagination). Together they show that caring and compassion are the way forward and it’s especially important now to be kind to yourself. Guilt is a Pisces concept too and there may be someone in your life who you want to help but find it hard to know how. As the twelfth house rules hospitals, prisons and other institutions, you may be visiting someone you know or feeling guilty because you don’t think you’re doing enough. Show your care and compassion but take good care of yourself as well.
You may feel wronged or feel as if you’re a victim in some situation in your life with so much Pisces energy and if so, again you may feel you don’t know what to do to change things. This is the main problem with planets in Pisces in your chart, you drift aimlessly and swirl around, finding it hard to know what to do or how to take action. If you’re a typical Aries, this is your usual mode of attack, if in doubt, do something. When Pisces is strong, it’s about being rather than doing and going with the flow.
Great ways of tapping into Pisces energy are love, music, spirituality, poetry and anything else that inspires you and helps you discover your inner muse. Live more slowly and savour each experience.
Life shifts dramatically for you once Mars, your ruler, is back in charge in your own sign of Aries on the 12th. This is followed by Mercury turning direct on the 17th, a date when new information comes to light and whatever’s been hidden can be revealed. Plus the spring equinox on the 20th heralds the start of a new season and coincides with your birthday month as the Sun moves into Aries.
The 22nd is a day to go a little bit crazy when Mars meets up with unpredictable Uranus in your sign. If you feel your life’s been on hold with all the Pisces nonsense, then you may well want to let rip and throw yourself headlong into life. Mars and Uranus together can represent accidents so don’t overdo the enthusiasm and go-for-it bravado.
This is your season though and you’re back in control, in the lead and ready to point your life in the direction you choose. It’s all about you and a great time to initiate new beginnings and focus on your personal goals. Mars in Aries is good for athletic pursuits, whether you decide to train for a marathon or get back to the gym. As the days get longer (in the northern hemisphere), even a daily walk will help your energy levels.
New love too is on the cards once Venus joins the Sun and Mars in your sign on the 22nd and a Full Moon cutting across the Aries/Libra axis on the 27th is a pivotal moment for love. It’s decision time and with both the Sun and Venus teaming up with Uranus on the 28th and 29th, anything goes. It’s a wild energy and great fun if you’re ready for an emotional roller coaster ride.
March is most definitely a month of two halves for you, Aries, and you navigate it most successfully by closing a door on the past and dealing with unresolved business before you emerge fresh and ready to start something new.
