On the 1st of the month, your ruling planet Mars makes a helpful sextile aspect to Saturn in Scorpio and this is important for you as it’s Saturn’s last aspect before leaving this sector of your chart on December 23rd. Mars begins the month in the work sign Capricorn and as Scorpio rules money, in particular joint finances, this is a brilliant date to take decisive action to sort out these key areas of your life.
Saturn has been in Scorpio since October 2012 and whether you’ve run up debt or you’ve been saving for a specific project such as a mortgage, course or holiday, you’re at the final stage.
Admittedly Saturn will dip back into Scorpio next year from mid-June to mid-September 2015 but it’s now that you need to finalise money matters and get your finances on track. Whether you’re involved with an inheritance, an investment, banks or creditors, take charge, wrap things up and do the best you can to bring an important finance matter to conclusion.
For some, Saturn leaving the sign of Scorpio will bring a huge sigh of relief as you find a debt or burden in your life begins to ease and you start to see some options in what seemed an impossible situation.
Mars leaves your career sector on the 5th of this month but the other personal planets, Venus (relating), Mercury (communication) and the Sun (self) pick up the baton as they enter the sign of Capricorn on the 10th, 17th and 21st respectively. In fact by the time of the New Moon in Capricorn on December 22nd, there are five planetary bodies in the sign of work.
A New Moon signals new beginnings and a brilliant date to consider your year ahead and what next for you with regard to work, your career or your vocation in life. The end of one year and the beginning of another is the perfect time to look at what you’ve achieved and where you want to initiate change.
This is also part of a bigger cycle for you that links in to the powerful Uranus-Pluto square. These two mighty planets have squared up to one another not once but five times since June 2012 and this month on the 15th they clash again. As Uranus is in your sign of Aries ruling your self and your personal goals and Pluto is in Capricorn ruling your career and vocation, for many of you this has meant a need or necessity to reinvent yourself and start out on a new path in life.
Pluto is linked with endings or loss and when one door closes, you have no option but to start over. The good news is that Uranus is the planet of reinvention and you have to dig deep to experiment with new ways of working. Uranus rules technology, it links in to groups and networking and it favours new trends and ideas that are ahead of their time.
This combination is classic for leaving the corporate world and setting up as a freelancer or running your own business. It may be that you’ve had to switch full-time employment to part-time flexible hours or perhaps you’re still trying to find your way after an eventful few years on the work front.
The few days around the Winter Solstice on the 21st offer clues as to what next because Uranus turns direct in Aries on this same date and on the 22nd you have a powerful New Moon at 0 Capricorn. This is perfect for sowing new seeds and taking action. Uranus and Pluto will clash one more time on March 17th 2015 and they remain close to the middle of their respective signs.
This month they’re at 12 degrees Aries/Capricorn and in March 2015 they’re at 15 degrees Aries/Capricorn so this is especially punchy for you if you have key planets or angles at these points in the zodiac. You’re in the midst of an important period of change and the end of a disruptive or restless period is in sight.
Aside from this being a month when you’re dealing with some serious issues, there’s a lot of fun to be had on the run up to Christmas. This is due to planets in fire signs urging you to make the most of life, enjoy the festive celebrations and book a holiday or trip away. Travel’s on your mind and you may feel restless to explore new horizons and see more of the world. If you have relatives who live abroad this is the time of year to catch up, to visit if you can and to discuss when you’re going to see one another next.
It’s a fun month if you’re looking for love and the 4th and the 12th are especially lively. If you’re married or in a long-term partnership, arrange some dates together, either just the two of you or with friends and family. The focus is on having fun, the perfect antidote to the bigger issues.
Xmas Day (25th) is lovely for socialising as long as you keep work matters out of the equation and make a promise not to discuss them especially if they’re causing grief at home. Extend your social circle and meet up with friends for drinks or pop in on the neighbours. Boxing Day (26th) and the day after are quieter and perfect to retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle and a prime time for contemplation and reflection.
New Year’s Eve (31st) is all about indulgence; good food and good drink. Comfortable surroundings and good friends help too as you celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of a new year. Keep your spirits high and remember to offer gratitude for all that’s well and good in your life. Happy Holidays.
