Your ruling planet Mars is in a powerful position this month in the sign of Capricorn up at the top of your chart. This puts the focus on your career and where you’re heading in life and for some, work’s going to demand a lot of you right up until the Christmas break. Mars in Capricorn suggests taking on a position of leadership, a new and responsible role and improving your reputation and status. It’s a hard-working, committed and potentially successful combination.
However, Mars makes no connections with other planets this month which is unusual. This may mean you’re hard at work and closeted away from other people or perhaps you feel as if all the big decisions regarding work are up to you and you’re on your own.
Even if you’re not particularly busy this month, it’s an excellent time to plan for the future and work out what you want from life in 2013 and beyond. In fact, it’s important to focus on your own goals and to remember that you love a new challenge and a mountain to climb. So plan for the future, create a successful strategy for what next in your life and up your game.
Money is currently a key motivator and at the start and end of the month, you’re wise to spend some time sorting out your financial situation, especially as Christmas can be an expensive time of year. Mercury, the communication planet, finishes its stint in Scorpio, one of your finance sectors in the first 10 days. Think back to October and what you were focused on then with regard to money as this is your chance to finalise matters.
Scorpio rules joint finances in your life, so it’s about monies you share with other people, a partner, an ex, a work associate or it concerns money that’s tied up in debts, savings, mortgages, insurances, etc. etc. It’s about your relationship with financial institutions and ensuring that there’s good communication on both sides. So spend some time early in the month sorting out facts and figures and ensure you get the best possible deals whatever your current situation. It’s not a good time to bury your head in the sand but instead to work with and negotiate with those people who are responsible for your financial well-being.
Saturn moved into this same sector of your chart early October where it remains for a couple of years so this is a long-term project and it’s worth taking some time to think about your financial goals and how best to turn a loss into a win or your personal equivalent. Saturn is the taskmaster of the heavens and the karmic planet and you will learn some incredibly valuable lessons about money and possessions and the flow of money and abundance over the next couple of years. Sometimes lessons are learned the hard way when Saturn’s in charge but trust that whatever life brings your way is meant to be. Saturn hones you into a better person and ultimately helps you lay down solid foundations for the future.
The end of the year again focuses on the wisdom of planning for the future and to focus in particular on work and money, your ambitions and goals. Pluto, the planet of transformation, has been in your career sector since 2008 and some of you will already have experienced the ups and downs of Pluto via a redundancy or loss of work. Conversely this gives you the opportunity to reinvent yourself and start over.
Saturn and Pluto work together in the heavens when they connect on the 27th and in an easy aspect this gives you great strength of purpose. They’re tough planets but ruled by Mars, you’re a fighter, and as long as you get real about your work or finance situation, then you can start to see what you can do about it. For some, this is indicative of taking on a leadership role and if you’re interested in politics or social or environmental issues, it’s the perfect scenario to stand up for what you believe in and to work hard on behalf of others less fortunate than yourself. All in all, it’s a powerful combination.
The other personal planets, the Sun, Mercury and Venus all spend time in your fellow fire sign of Sagittarius during December. This is good news as it creates a lighter feel to December’s stars and a less intense vibe than October and November when Scorpio dominated. Sagittarius rules travel, study, philosophy, spirituality; basically anything that inspires you and everything that expands your experience of life physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It’s ultimately about finding your meaning in life and what nourishes you and feeds your soul.
So make time to consider the bigger picture and indulge yourself, whether you take a holiday, plan a holiday, sign up for a course, arrange a day out or a weekend away. Do something that makes you feel you’re living life to the full. Uranus, the planet of spontaneity, is currently in your sign of Aries and the 14th and 19th look lively when Uranus connects with Mercury and Venus respectively. I read this quote recently attributed to the Dalai Lama which fits your stars:
“You are the books you read, the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, the conversations you engage in. You are what you take from these.”
This is potentially a big month for you with the main focus looking out into the world. Christmas is of course a family time but you don’t have to do things traditionally. In fact the best day for you for a family get-together is Friday 28th when there’s a Full Moon in Cancer and your family sector. The Moon in Gemini on Christmas Day suggests a sociable time but also a desire to communicate and meet new people.
The more you open yourself up to the world, the happier and more fulfilled you’re going to be. Love too has a foreign feel this month, whether you’re planning a romantic trip away, you’re involved in a long-distance romance or you meet someone from a different culture. Spice up your love life and inspire each other to do things differently. Wishing you a happy and prosperous 2013.
