Let’s focus on the good stuff this month, Aries, and to be fair there’s a lot of opportunity for things to be going well for you. It’s about finding what you love in life and doing more of it. Venus also kisses Jupiter this month as the love planet enters Leo on the 12th where she remains throughout August and these two planets get it together on Monday 18th. If you’re looking for love, Venus in Leo is one of your best chances all year to meet someone special.

With Uranus ruling technology in your own sign of Aries, internet dating is a wise choice but it also indicates that you can bump into someone anywhere as Uranus is the planet of spontaneity. Be chatty when you’re out and about, smile at people and make the most of any small opportunity.

The Full Moon on Sunday 10th cuts across the Aquarius/Leo axis of your horoscope and the weekend of the 9th/10th signifies another special occasion to make friends and attract attention. It’s a fun-filled Full Moon for you and this is a wonderful time of year to be young, free and single. Enjoy yourself to the max.

If you’re in a relationship or married, it’s important to factor fun into your everyday activities. Create a weekly date night if you’re taking love for granted and don’t allow a relationship to become all work and no play. Make the most of the dates mentioned above to do something different with the one you love and make spontaneity a key part of your love life.

Children are also represented by the sign of Leo in your horoscope. Whether you’re learning new parenting skills, teaching children or enjoy spending time with friends’ offspring, you can learn a lot through your interactions with the younger generation. If you’re a typical Aries, you have a youthful spirit and it doesn’t take much to encourage your inner child to come out to play. Your ruling planet Mars is powerful this month as it’s in Scorpio, a sign it likes. This makes up for months being in Libra, when you couldn’t take charge or manage life your way. You do need to step up to the mark now that Mars is in Scorpio and take back control, wherever in life you’ve given it away or it’s been taken from you.

Mars in Scorpio is the warrior and will fight continually and persistently to get his or her way. Scorpio focuses in particular on joint finances and emotional connections and it’s these areas of life where your energy is required. This is even more important because Saturn, the taskmaster of the heavens, has been in Scorpio since October 2012 and in December of this year Saturn leaves this sector of your chart.

With Mars here too this is your chance to get to grips with any difficulties that Saturn symbolises. This is the planet of lack rather than plenty and often comes in the form of a reality check. Put the two factors together and you may have been dealing with a debt situation or found yourself trapped by negative equity or tied into some form of financial transaction. You may have had the authorities on your back or an ex who’s been fighting you for custody or alimony payments.

Saturn at its best allows you to knuckle down and work hard for a living but it doesn’t give you many free lunches along the way. As Saturn is coming towards the end of it’s time in Scorpio, it’s important to consider whether closing a financial deal would work in your favour now even if it means having to cut your losses.

Take note of what happens on or around the 5th and 7th of August when Saturn trines Chiron and Mars trines Neptune. Both these planetary bodies are in Pisces and this has the potential for healing but may require a sacrifice on your part. However, the big aspect is Mars conjunct Saturn on the 25th, the day of a New Moon in Virgo. Saturn represents an ending and a New Moon represents a new beginning. This is an excellent day to finalise any plans regarding money, work, especially where there’s a strong emotional connection.

If you’re looking for work because you’ve been unemployed recently, then consider carefully what comes your way towards the end of the month. Work will be coming in but you may need to take a lower-paid position or in some way balance what you want to do with earning a living. The best news is that life is soon going to get a whole lot easier on the work and money fronts and this month is the perfect time to make some big decisions.
