Aries (21 March – 19 April)
There is a lot of planetary activity taking place in March. What is of special significance for you is the fact that your ruling planet Mars is on the move.
Mars is the planet of action and passion. Mars is speedy and direct and likes to go straight from A to B.
Mars changes signs on the 6th when it leaves behind the water sign Scorpio and enters the fire sign Sagittarius.
As you may already know, Mars goes back and forth between Scorpio and Sagittarius in the first nine months of 2016. This is quite unusual and it means that the areas of your life represented by Scorpio and Sagittarius will dominate events for a large part of the year.
Once Mars leaves Scorpio on the 6th, this gives you a breather from financial matters and this can be a good or bad thing depending on your current situation. Scorpio rules joint finances and shared resources in your chart. This includes inheritances, investments, savings, debts, mortgages, taxes etc. Basically any form of financial transaction.
Mars returns to Scorpio on May 27 and June and July will be important months once again for financial matters. For now however it’s time to slow down the pace with regards to important money matters and channel your energy elsewhere. There’s not a lot more you can achieve after Mars changes signs.
Once Mars enters Sagittarius on the 6th, turn your attention to adventure and excitement. Sagittarius rules any area of life whereby you can broaden your horizons physically, mentally and spiritually. It’s good news for travel plans, committing to a course of study and saying yes to new experiences.
It would be a brilliant month to book a holiday and the Easter weekend (25th to 28th March) is perfect for doing something special. If you’ve been saving up for a big adventure, this is the time to prove your commitment and sign on the dotted line. Make the most of a few days extra holiday this month.
March is a big month because it includes two eclipses. Eclipses can be game-changers, they crank up the pace of life and often coincide with dramatic events or sudden twists of fate. The first eclipse takes place on March the 9th in the sign of Pisces.
Pisces is the most hidden sector of your chart as it symbolises the end of the zodiac. Your sign of Aries begins the zodiac and Pisces closes it. This is often a time when you are dealing with hidden matters, secrets, confidences. Your attention turns inward, you may be feeling less confident than usual or have personal issues which require your attention. This is also the spiritual sector of your chart and you are often more interested what lies beyond the everyday.
Sometimes your energy is lower than usual when the sign of Pisces dominates. Be kind to yourself, include quiet time into your daily schedule and don’t take on too much.
When it comes to your work and career, this is potentially a successful month but it’s steady progress rather than dynamic action. There’s a powerful planetary aspect on the 16th between the planet of opportunity and good fortune, Jupiter, and the planet of transformation, Pluto. Both these planets are in earth signs and connect to work sectors of your chart.
Look out for new opportunities which come your way on around the 16th and seek out ways to improve your current situation. There’s potential to benefit when Jupiter and Pluto unite, and to secure your foundations.
The 20th is another important date for you this month because it’s the spring equinox (fall equinox if you’re in the southern hemisphere), the date when the Sun moves into Aries. You might sense an extra burst of energy or confidence on or around this date. You’re back in the driving seat and ready to take charge.
Yet you may also experience some conflict or feel ready to challenge others. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, Jupiter is in another major planetary aspect on the 23rd when it clashes with the planet Saturn.
You might find that your plans are halted during this period perhaps for health reasons or because you can’t get time off work. You need to consider where your priorities lie and what’s most important to you. Is this your own decision to make or is someone else involved?
There is another powerful lunar eclipse taking place on the 23rd and this eclipse cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of your chart. This is you versus the other. It feels competitive. This is an especially powerful eclipse for you because it mirrors the Lunar Eclipse which took place on September 28, 2015 and this month’s eclipse is the last in an eclipse cycle which began in October 2013.
This might spell the end of the road for a partnership or represent the final push or battle if you’re up against someone else. It’s likely to be a decisive moment in the month if not the whole year.
This eclipse is big news for love because it symbolises the end of this powerful planetary pattern. Eclipses tend to coincide with endings or new beginnings. They can indicate either an ending or a beginning, but one way or another they often prove dramatic.
The lovers of the heavens, Venus and Mars, clash this month. So perhaps this indicates that you and someone close are on different paths for now. What you want and what they want isn’t in agreement. Events on or around the 14th will indicate whether this is true for you.
Certainly with the final eclipse in Libra and your relationship sector on the 23rd, one way or another this is a big month for your relationships.
