Your ruling planet Mars is in the home and family loving sign of Cancer throughout July. This isn’t a strong placing for Mars as Mars likes to go direct from A to B in forward motion. When Mars is in the sign of the crab, he has to scuttle sideways and use different techniques and tactics to make progress.
On the one hand, this means you have to take other peoples’ opinions into account and negotiate with family members rather than set your own agenda. This can take longer than doing things on your own and at times it will feel frustrating but there may be a good reason for working things out together.
For example, you might be reworking who does what around the house or you might have more family arrangements going on this month which need careful consideration and planning.
The Full Moon on July 2nd highlights the areas of home and work and the need to get the balance right between the two. You often see your situation clearly during the Full Moon when the light of the moon is that its brightest. This is a good date to make any important decisions with regard to these key areas of your life.
Mercury, the planet of communication, joins Mars in Cancer from the 8th to the 23rd so it’s in the domestic sector of your chart where there’s a lot of action and chatter. There is also a powerful New Moon in Cancer on July 16th, a symbol of new beginnings and the chance to start afresh or start over.
However, the planetary energy is volatile to say the least during this mid month period as both Mars and Mercury oppose Pluto on the 15th. There’s an urgency or intensity about this combination. If things are changing on the work front for you or someone in the family, this can be a difficult period.
Then later in the month on the weekend of the 25th and 26th, Mars clashes with Uranus in your sign of Aries as Uranus switches direction in the heavens. This brings out your rebel tendencies and a desire to walk the path less travelled. You’re not usually someone who likes to do what other people say or dictate and this month’s stars do hold the potential for a conflict or clash within the family.
Remember that actions have consequences and words spoken in haste cannot be taken back. It depends on your personal situation whether you need to pull away or be independent, but try not to get involved in any arguments for the sake of it.
At its best this month’s astrology suggests new beginnings for you on the home and family front and a chance to create the changes you desire. If it feels urgent to do so, make it happen.
Yet this month’s stars also promise a great deal as there’s some lovely astrology aside more challenging planetary dynamics. Venus, the planet of love and relating, is in your fellow fire sign of Leo until the 18th. One of the best planetary aspects of the year takes place on July 1st when Venus is in the same place in the heavens as Jupiter, the planet of opportunity. You can currently see these two planets shining bright and drawing closer in the night sky.
Leo rules all the good things in your life, for example, love affairs, children, creative projects, entertainment and luck. This planetary aspect is full of happiness, blessings, abundance. Who ever you meet on or around this date, whatever the news you hear, there’s a feel good factor to your stars. Make the most of it, do something special, look on the bright side and embrace life to the full.
Whilst Venus remains in Leo, this is a wonderful opportunity to fall in love, to get pregnant, to have fun socialising and to do more of what you love. Make laughter and happiness your goal. Both the Sun (identity) and Mercury (communication) pick up the feel good vibe when they enter Leo on the 23rd.
The only question mark is around money as Venus squares Saturn in your joint finance sector on the 14th. This is a sign not to be overly extravagant but instead to have fun and keep within your budget. The second Full Moon of the month cuts across the Leo/Aquarius axis of your chart on July 31st, another key date for love, socialising and fun times.
The other big planetary event this month is Venus turning retrograde on July 25th and Venus remains on go slow until September 6th. Traditionally, Venus retrograde is not the time to marry or fork out for expensive beauty treatments. This is because the energy of the love planet turns inward and it can be a reflective time.
As Venus is your partner planet, you might have to take turns in supporting one another not only this month but through until September. Don’t put too many demands on love or your partner now and instead know that the best work you can do romantically is on yourself. Slow down the pace when it comes to love once Venus turns retrograde, take your time and be patient.
If you’re in a relationship or married, you might benefit from some time away from each other or realise that one of you needs time to reflect on love and the direction in which your relationship is heading. Yet there is still plenty of support and happiness can be grasped at key dates over the next few months.
Jupiter is a protective planet and up until August 11, 2015 Jupiter remains in Leo so look out for someone who can guide you, trust in life and have faith that things will work out in the long term.
