Aries June 2019

Moon, Aries

Aries (21 March – 19 April)

Gemini Time

Gemini is the sign of the moment as June begins. This is where you find the Sun and the swift-moving planet of communication, Mercury. Plus, on the 3rd, there’s a New Moon in Gemini, a symbol of new beginnings.

All this lively activity is taking place in the sector of your horoscope which rules communication, both the spoken and written word. Therefore, use this strong planetary energy early in June to initiate important conversations, line up key meetings and start the ball rolling.

When planets are in Gemini, you tend to be busy, both internally and externally. Gemini’s planet, Mercury, rules the mind so this is about new ideas, quick thinking on the one hand, movement and travel on the other hand. Use this time effectively to network, make new friends and connections and pick up the pace.

Siblings and neighbours are also part of the picture. Reach out to others, introduce yourself to other people and enjoy the simple pleasure of chatting, talk, making friends and getting to know people better.

Student/Teacher

There may be another reason why you want to extend your social or professional networks. This is linked to the Full Moon in Sagittarius on the 17th. The Full Moon cuts across the education sectors of your horoscope. And, education planet, Jupiter, is currently strong in Sagittarius.

Put all this together and this is an excellent month to focus on study and/or teaching. You might be lining up a course for the new academic year in September/October or be discussing plans to offer workshops or talks.

Wherever you find the Full Moon in your horoscope, it’s shining a light. This is the area of your life to focus on, to explore fully. It’s also a great time to make key decisions. For you, this is especially pertinent in the areas of travel, study and the bigger picture of life. Fire some arrows high into the sky and see where they land. Embrace new experiences and adventure.

Dream High & Wide

Jupiter is a key player this month too because of the second Jupiter-Neptune square which takes place on the 16th, the day before the Full Moon. These two boundless, expansive planets first came together on January 13, 2019 and they will meet one more time on September 21, 2019.

Together, they are about dreams, hope and faith. They are where you find inspiration in life, where you want something more, seeking and searching beyond the normal & mundane, everyday life. You might be on a spiritual path or be interested in religion or be finding out about specific teachings or beliefs.

Go wherever life leads you now and be guided by the journey that unfolds in front of you. This combination isn’t about being driven or ambitious. Instead, surrender to life and see what comes in to the space that’s created.

Concrete Dreams

There may be a specific reason why you’re searching for meaning in life now, something greater beyond yourself. This could be linked to what’s happening at home or within your family or at work and in your career.

There is another planet pulled in to the mix, Saturn in Capricorn and your career and vocation sector. Saturn makes a sextile aspect to Neptune on the 18th, reining in the boundless influence of the Jupiter-Neptune square. This can help you to manifest your dreams and goals, make them real.

Saturn is the realist, reminding you that dreams are more effective when they’re built on solid ground, when you work out what steps need to happen to fulfil those yearnings. Look out for a mentor, teacher or guide around the middle of the month as this person could be Saturn in disguise.

Home & Family

There is another key factor to bear in mind throughout the month of June. The fact that your planet, Mars, is currently in Cancer and your home and family sector. Mars isn’t strong here as Mars likes to be off out in the world, being physical, ticking off goals.

Mars in Cancer moves slowly, cautiously, strategically. You might find that issues at home or within in your family sap your energy now or keep you house-bound. Perhaps, you’re looking after others, taking on the role of care-giver. Perhaps, you’re knee deep in building work or there issues that affect your living space.

These areas of your life are a possible source of tension mid-month, when Mercury (communication) and Mars (action/anger) meet in Cancer on the 18th. This is an inflammatory mix, tempestuous and potentially argumentative.

Plus, from the 14th to the 20th, Mercury and Mars are opposed by Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This whole combination suggests you have a tough decision to make or you find yourself up against opposition.

There may be a pull between your personal life and your professional life or extra responsibility and duty that falls on your shoulders. If someone in the family is out of work, for example, this could add extra pressure at home.

Emotional Release

The turning point comes on the 21st, the day of the Solstice, when the Sun moves into Cancer and someone else, a third party, could provide the solution to a problem. Or perhaps, illumination and enlightenment strike and you know what to do in the midst of a difficult or challenging situation.

Letting go of the past isn’t always easy, especially when there are emotional or financial attachments tightly in place. Ultimately, however, this teaches you the importance of love.

It’s only when you open your heart fully to other people that you allow yourself to feel the depths of your vulnerability. This month’s astrology provides you with an opportunity to feel your feelings deeply and there’s nearly always a blessing or a gift to be found when you do just that.
