Aries Horoscope May 2022

eclipse, Aries horoscopes

Jupiter enters Aries

May could turn to be a month to remember. The big news is Jupiter, the planet of luck, opportunity and good fortune, on the move. Jupiter enters your star sign Aries on the 11th where it remains for most of the time until May 2023.

Jupiter takes approximately twelve years to circuit the zodiac so this big event doesn’t happen every year. In fact, you’ve had to wait quite some time to enjoy Jupiter’s bounty in your star sign.

Jupiter is the biggest planet in the universe and represents all that’s expansive in life. This is the planet of freedom, allowing you to let go of ties that bind and anything or anyone who holds you back in life.

When Jupiter’s in full flow, you want to see the world and save the world. Jupiter rules travel, education, spirituality, philosophy and philanthropic activities. Choose your pick. What’s not advised when Jupiter is strong in your chart is to play small or stay close to home. Jupiter rewards bold behaviour and loves the free-spirit, the explorer, the entrepreneur, the lover of life.

Notice what takes place on or around the 24th/25th when there’s a Moon/Jupiter conjunction in Aries and your ruling planet Mars joins Jupiter in Aries. Also, the 29th when there’s a stunning Mars/Jupiter conjunction, a symbol of courage and enthusiasm, freedom and bravery.

These are super-powerful planetary events. As Jupiter expands what it touches, be yourself and act with integrity. Jupiter rules the truth and humanity so be true to your beliefs, live life to the full and make the most of this special time.

Mercury Retrograde

It’s important to note, however, that communication planet Mercury turns retrograde on the 10th and remains on go slow until June 3rd. Therefore, you may find that things don’t fall into your lap overnight and you need to be more patient than usual.

Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini and your communication sector. Therefore, this could be a double whammy of communication chaos for you.

Therefore, you’re wise to get important correspondence backed up and double-check forms and applications before Mercury swings into reverse mode on the 10th. A key feature of Mercury retrograde is not to take anything for granted. Check and re-check that things are progressing, even if it’s slow progress. Double-check dates, meetings and interviews.

Mercury retrograde is a classic period to kick back and do less not more. Take yourself out of your everyday environment, shift your perspective and take a fresh look at life. Know your allies and get the right people on your side. Catch up with old school friends and take a walk down memory lane.

In addition, talk things through and express your feelings, even if answers don’t come easily. When Mercury’s on go slow, there can be misunderstandings or mis-truths. Don’t believe everything you hear and be open-minded.

One the best ways to use the Mercury retrograde phase is to take a holiday or pilgrimage. You may find that you can’t get to the place you want this month. Yet, you discover that where you end up is where you were meant to be all along.

Lunar Eclipse

Also this month, there’s a Full Moon or Lunar Eclipse which takes place on the 16th cutting across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac. This is the sector of your horoscope ruling joint finances and money that’s shared with others or invested/owed.

Things can emerge during an eclipse that have been hidden, which bring about unexpected change. This could flag up money issues or a lack of self-value or self-worth that needs addressing.

This eclipse cycle is the time to re-evaluate money and what it means to you, whether you need to earn more, pay off debt or decide what to do with your money. It’s not easy astrology but it does show where your priorities lie. And, it can help reveal your options. This eclipse cycle lasts from November 2021 to October 2023.

Retrograde Mercury moves back into Taurus and your money sector on the 23rd suggesting that you may need to go over old ground regarding finances. It’s an ideal time to work out your budget and review your expenses and income.

Mars Influence

Your ruling Mars remains in Pisces and the most hidden sector of your horoscope until the 24th when it enters Aries. This isn’t straightforward for you and there may be times this month when you feel lost or confused or unsure in which direction you’re heading.

Think of Pisces’ symbol, the two fishes swimming in opposite directions. Water signs rules the emotions, so you may be grieving, feel more weepy than usual or be in a romantic or wistful mood.

The key planetary aspect that Mars makes this month is a conjunction with Neptune, God of the Sea, on the 18th. Where’s your escape? What do you need to pull back from? Neptune is a romantic and artistic influence. Dive deep into music, art or poetry and find your inner muse.

You may get a sense of the wheel of fortune turning as retrograde Mercury in Gemini connects with Jupiter in Aries on the 20th and retrograde Mercury in Taurus connects with Mars in Pisces on the 24th just before your ruling planet changes star sign.

This would be a wonderful time in the month to turn inwards and listen for insights or synchronicities. Gear yourself up ready to take a leap of faith towards the end of May. The day after the lucky Mars-Jupiter conjunction on the 29th, there’s a New Moon in Gemini on the 30th, a symbol of new beginnings.

Whatever you’re plotting or planning or surrendering to, the end of May is the time to put energy into new ideas and plans in readiness for Mercury’s change of direction in the first days of June.
