Career Connections

There’s a forward-moving feel to October for you as the planets start to make their way towards the peak of your horoscope. In fact, on the 3rd, communication planet, Mercury reaches Scorpio and your career and vocation sector.

Therefore, you might have new ideas and plans for your future path, for what next as the month begins. Mercury in Scorpio is deeply analytical and great for research and planning.

It’s a good month to set up meetings and interviews, write a CV or business plan and generally get things moving, whatever your next steps.

Also, get the right people on your side and use your network or connections. Venus, the planet of relating, joins Mercury in Scorpio on the 8th where it remains until the end of the month. There might be people in your life you’re looking up to, especially a woman in a powerful position.

With both Mercury and Venus hooking up in Scorpio, this is a month when connections matter. Don’t just rely on contacts, however. Ensure you know what you’re doing and make learning and study a key part of your success.

On the 23rd, the Sun enters Scorpio followed five days later by a stunning New Moon in Scorpio and your career and vocation sector. Consider your status and reputation and make the right moves. New Moons are great for new beginnings.

Plus, on the 30th, Mercury and Venus unite in Scorpio – again, think connections. This period in the month is when things could happen and fast.

Uranus’ Restless Vibe

The trajectory of your career or vocational path this month, however, may not be straightforward. This has a lot to do with your co-ruler, Uranus, currently in Taurus down at the base of your horoscope.

Uranus is the planet of change, restless and unpredictable. While Uranus is in your home and family sector, you may feel rootless or be on the move more than usual.

Plus, Uranus opposes key planets in Scorpio on the following dates, the 7th, 12th and 28th, the day of the New Moon. This brings something new to the Scorpio influence.

On the one hand, it suggests you’re wise to be flexible and adaptable and go wherever life leads you. On the other hand, you might find it harder than usual to stay focused or keep on track with your current plans, job or projects.

In fact, when Uranus is active, you often crave freedom and space. This could play out as a freelance role or choosing to work for yourself or to work from home.

Try not to be overly impulsive when Uranus’ dominates. Yet, at the same time, don’t be too rigid with yourself if you’re unsure of your current path in life or your career options are unclear.

Wide Open Spaces

Also, there is a big pull to see the world or save the world in your current astrology. This is because of the emphasis on the star sign, Libra, throughout October. Libra is a fellow air sign.

In your horoscope, Libra rules travel and study, the bigger picture in life. This adds to the restless feel of your astrology.

The Sun is always in Libra during this time of year but is joined by Mars, the action planet, from the 4th onwards. Mars remains in Libra until November 20th. This is dynamic and go-getting. Mars’ ambition is geared towards travel and study, knowledge and learning, seeking out new experiences.

As your career sector is strong this month, you might choose to volunteer abroad or be travelling more with your current job or work. The Libra factor is why study is recommended in the month ahead.

The Full Moon on the 13th is when the Libra energy peaks and it would be a great weekend to get away, go somewhere different or do something that broadens your outlook on life.

Foreign connections are the theme, whether you immerse yourself in a new culture or work alongside people from different backgrounds and countries. Say Yes to any invitation that comes your way this month, even if it means stepping out of your comfort zone. Expand your horizons.

Endings & Letting Go

There is also a possibility that something needs to come to an end this month, if you’re to make the most of the opportunities opening up in front of you.

This has a lot to do with the fact that your ruling planet, Saturn, is in Capricorn, your previous star sign, along with Pluto. These two planets can slow you down and both planets have a theme of endings or letting go.

Capricorn is the most hidden sector of your horoscope, sometimes linked to the past, karma or your inner self. Be vigilant about your thoughts this month and don’t let negativity take hold.

Saturn and Pluto both clash with key planets in Libra on the following dates, the 1st, 7th, 24th and 27th. Notice what’s holding you back, whether an obstacle is real or one that you can overcome.

This may be connected to your close relationships or your personal life. For example, you might be moving away from someone you love to pursue your career or a new opportunity.

In some cases, the Saturn/Pluto combination could stop you pursuing your dreams or goals. Take the time to work things out carefully this month. Use logic and rationality to decide your next steps.

Also, turn to a friend or listen to a friend’s advice on or around the Full Moon. If one relationship is challenging you or coming to an end, allow yourself to be inspired and/or comforted by other people. Jupiter remains in Sagittarius and your friendship sector, the source of positive and uplifting vibes.

Use The Timing Of Astrology

When it comes to your work and career, make your important moves sooner rather than later. This is because communication planet, Mercury, turns retrograde on October 31st and remains on go slow until November 20th. You’re wise to sign and seal any important deals this month rather than next.

Be aware that when Mercury’s in retreat, there’s a stop-start feel to your ability to make progress. You could hear about a new job or project this month, for example, but there’s a delay in starting it. Use the timing of Mercury retrograde to your benefit.

Finally, do make the most of your opportunities this month and don’t be your own worst enemy. Keep moving steadily forwards, even if at times you take two steps forward and one step back.

    1. I don’t know without looking at your full birth chart, Annabel. You’ll have key planets moving in to Aquarius next year – in March and December – that might help 🙂
