Aquarius (20 January-18 February)
Saturn, one of your ruling planets, has now been up at the top of your chart for a month and it’s important to consider what’s been happening.
When a major planet moves into a new sign, you often get some powerful indicators about what it’s going to mean in your own life, and Saturn’s move begins a new 2-3 year chapter.
Scorpio is the sign at the top of your chart and rules your career, vocation and where you’re heading in life but it’s also about status and reputation. Most importantly, Saturn rules commitment and discipline so life’s asking you to decide where you want to put your focus and what you’re prepared to commit to in your own life.
This may be a new career position for some, a decision to get back on the career ladder for others, a new role of responsibility or taking on a title or change in status. However, if things haven’t shifted for you already, then November isn’t the month to take decisive action.
That’s not to say November’s going to be quiet, far from it, but you’re wise to bide your time and see what plays out. There are a couple of reasons for this and firstly Mercury is retrograde from the 6th to the 26th. Mercury rules communication and in the Mercury retrograde period, information or news is often hidden and it’s only when Mercury turns around and begins to pick up speed that you see the bigger picture.
On the 14th Mercury reverses into Scorpio and this is the day after an eclipse in Scorpio. Eclipses are powerful, turn around events and when you look back on them, you realise how pivotal they were in your own development. So not only do you have Saturn, your ruler, up at the top of your chart but you also have eclipses lighting up the same sector. In other words, you know that what’s happening now is a definitive time for you especially with regard to your career and future security.
Take note of anything that transpires that you believe is important in pointing the way forward but wait until the end of the month before making a final decision. Venus too enters Scorpio on the 22nd and on the 27th Venus and Saturn come together in the heavens. You may have an ally at work and certainly it suggests that someone else’s approval or influence is key to your own success. Be strategic in November and use your brilliant Aquarian brain to motivate yourself and move you forward. It’s not necessarily an easy picture but by month’s end you should know what you need to do in order to get your career on track and moving in the right direction.
Friends too are important now but more as an outlet for your pent up energy. If you know you need a break from work or job hunting, arrange a wild weekend or some fun and adventure with a group of friends. Being an Aquarius, you have two ruling planets: sensible, strategic Saturn and madcap, eccentric Uranus. So if you find that you’re leaning too far in one direction, pull yourself back and focus on a different energy. The weekend of the 24th/25th looks good fun as does Monday 26th when the Sun and Uranus connect in fire signs. This is impulsive, spontaneous and suggests taking a risk. What you hear on or around this date also determines your next steps and may be a good reason to celebrate.
Where communication’s concerned for most of the month, however, at times it’s worth holding your tongue or keeping your ideas to yourself. On the 1st and 23rd, there’s a volatile energy and by speaking out, you may upset someone close. Certainly there’s nothing wrong with expressing your own opinions and standing up for what you believe in, but do be aware that speaking out of turn will have consequences. If you don’t want to upset a partner or your position at work, then hold that thought.
