Aquarius (20 January – 18 February)
April begins with a powerful planetary configuration as there’s a Lunar Eclipse taking place on the 4th, the Easter weekend.
Eclipses are shadowy and they bring hidden themes to light. This eclipse cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of your horoscope highlighting education, knowledge and ideas.
Being an Aquarius, you tend to have strong beliefs and you’re one of the most principled signs of the zodiac. Eclipses are game-changers however so you might find that you experience some fundamental shifts now in what you believe, your faith or what you’re interested in learning more or less about.
This month’s eclipse is part of a bigger eclipse cycle that began back in October 2013 and finishes in March 2016. During this period there might be significant changes regarding where you live as travel is linked to the Aries/Libra axis, you might have started studying, stopped studying or been on some other voyage of discovery. Your religious or spiritual beliefs could also have been part of this journey, letting go of what you once believed in or finding comfort on a new or different path.
The process of letting go is still underway as this month’s eclipse links in to the Uranus-Pluto square. The 7th and final Uranus-Pluto square took place last month on March 17th and for you this is about communication, self-confidence and to some respect endings.
You might be coming to terms with a chapter of your life that’s past and gone; you might be changing the way you communicate or talk to others, via social media for example. You might be re-discovering who you are by un-learning things about yourself, changing habits, your mindset. Self-development and personal growth often start by peeling away the layers to reveal what’s underneath.
The Easter weekend could turn out to be a time of revelation and understanding on a deep level. With Mercury, the communication planet, in Aries, you’re ready to talk your talk and any discussion or debate could quickly grow heated. You might find you’re ready to stand up for what you believe and to find your voice. Impulsive behaviour will have consequences and yet there might be a part of you that can no longer hold back.
There is one planet that’s supportive and helpful to this whole planetary configuration and that’s Jupiter, the planet of opportunity, in your opposite sign of Leo. This is lighting up your relationship sector and if you’re in a relationship or married, you’ll either want or need your partner’s support.
For some, it might prove the opposite however and if you recognise that a person you’re closely involved with has very different views to yourself, this could be a sign that it’s time to part ways or break free. Try and look beyond what a person says and consider their fundamental virtues. True love can conquer all but sometimes you know instinctively when it’s time to say goodbye.
Tradition states that you’re wise to wait a few days after an eclipse before taking action or making a big decision. Let things settle and then see how you feel. Jupiter is lively throughout the first week of April as it make a gorgeous trine aspect to the Sun on the 2nd, to Mercury on the 6th and turns direct in the heavens on the 8th.
Jupiter is then full steam ahead until August 2015 and you’re in one of the best periods of your life for finding love and happiness. Yet first you need to negotiate the Easter weekend with care.
If you’re looking for love, you’re in luck. Venus, the love planet, enters Gemini and your romance sector on the 11th, and the 22nd and the weekend of the 25th/26th are especially lively. Venus in Gemini is sociable, flirtatious and friendly so don’t stay home if you want to meet someone special but get out and about and have some fun.
The 10th and the 18th are notable dates for making new friends and for taking the initiative. The Sun and Mercury come together in Aries on the 10th bringing good news and on the 18th there’s a New Moon in Aries. The New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings and a chance to make a fresh start. The conversations you have this month and the questions you ask will not only be revealing but could be life-changing.
Finally this month, planets down at the base of your chart in the sign of Taurus act as an anchor. Taurus rules your home and family, your past and where you come from. There’s a lot of activity in this sector of your chart whether you’re meeting up with family, buying or selling, looking for somewhere to live or renovating and spring cleaning.
You need a safe base now, somewhere you can call home. It’s important to feel rooted on some level at least and once you have your feet on solid ground, you’ll find that your finances flow easier. Your past is the key to how secure you feel in the present day and for some this is the ideal time to take a trip down memory lane, to lay old ghosts to rest and to honour or forgive all that’s come before you.
In some respects, this seems like a month of soul-searching when you’re looking for a place of comfort or safety. Yet there’s still plenty of opportunity to embrace all that’s new and it’s through your curiosity and love of life that you keep on saying Yes and moving forward, step by step.
After the events last month, I’ve confirmed that yours is the most accurate monthly forecast! Thanks, Sally. Thanks, too, for posting in advance. x
