Aquarius (20 January-18 February)
Three of the personal planets, Venus (relating), Mars (action) and the Sun are lighting up the sector of your chart that rules communication and ideas as the month begins. This is important as one of your ruling planets, Uranus, is in the same sector of your chart.
This puts you at the forefront of key changes and new ideas and it’s the perfect time to find your voice and be heard. You may decide to become a spokesperson for a group or cause you believe in or a love of social media kicks in, but wherever in life you feel galvanised to become more involved, do it. If you work in marketing, PR, sales, politics or customer service, flash about new ideas to ensure people pay attention and recognise your input.
On the 10th, there’s a New Moon in Aries which is a brilliant day to launch a new project, initiate a conversation or go for an interview. You have the gift of the gab and it’s important to use it. Venus and Mars come together on the 7th so a great day to work alongside others and focus on building a core team. If you’re looking for love, ask someone out or flirt with someone you meet. Be spontaneous and impulsive and you attract good things into your life.
This part of your chart also rules siblings and neighbours as well as your local community so get in touch and make things happen. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and be engaged and active in life.
New information or talking things through with others has a deeper purpose, especially if you have a secret or a concern that’s starting to worry you. The notorious ongoing Uranus-Pluto square is activated with planets in Aries and one of the cardinal signs. For you this pits communication and ideas against your subconscious and your inner world. It’s by thinking outside of the box and gaining new ideas that you come to a greater understanding about your own personal situation.
If you’ve retreated from life of late and feel lonely, this month’s stars advocate getting back out into the world for fresh inspiration and stimulation. You may feel it’s time for a “talking cure” and want to discuss a personal issue with a counsellor, coach or confidante. Uranus helps you break through any barriers and if you do feel trapped or stuck in any area of life, find a way to express what’s going on and bring any fears out into the open.
In the second half of the month, the energy shifts and rather than running wild, there’s a slower more rigid feel to life. It’s the bigger issues that require attention as the personal planets begin to build at the bottom of your chart. Venus enters Taurus on the 15th followed by the Sun on the 19th and Mars on the 20th. This puts the spotlight on home and family affairs, your past and where you come from.
It acts as an anchor, rooting you firm but also asks you to look more closely at these areas of your life. Questions regarding your security may arise, perhaps the part of you that would like to settle down and lead a conventional life. Events that play out within your own family ask you to consider what you’re building in life and how important strong foundations and family are to you.
This is most significant week beginning 22nd April when Saturn, your co-ruler, opposes Venus on the 22nd and the Sun on the 28th. Saturn represents commitment and endings, different poles of the spectrum but effectively about making an important decision regarding your relationship or your family. Saturn rules your responsibilities and where your duty lies. You may be dealing with an older parent or someone who is ill and needs your help and attention. What’s important is that you deal with life head on and don’t avoid whatever’s happening.
The lunar eclipse on the 25th picks up similar themes as it cuts across the Taurus/Scorpio axis. Home v. work; family life v. vocation. Eclipses often signify dramatic turn-around events, life is in black and white and tough decisions need to be made. With Saturn up at the top of your chart, some of you may be dealing with new work responsibilities and more authority. You may be in work overload with little time for the ones you love. Or Saturn could represent a lack of work and a fear about the future.
Whatever your personal situation, take note of the events that happen on or around the 25th and decide what next. Often you find that one door has to close in order for a new door to open. It may help to think back to November 13th 2012 when there was a solar eclipse in Scorpio and your career sector. What took place then may still be playing out now or it’s a repeat pattern and more of the same.
Money matters too need careful handling especially if you’re thinking of moving or want to spend more money on your home or a family celebration. Work things out together and this month you should feel clearer about your financial situation. Mercury, the communication planet, was up to its tricks in February and March but after 6th April, it’s been catching up speed. Neptune is also in this same sector of your chart which has a boundless quality.
It is important to use your common sense with Neptune and ensure that you’re keeping on top of money matters and not just hoping that everything’s going to work out. A financial audit or sitting down and going through the family finances is highly recommended.
