Aquarius (20 January – 18 February)
There is some gorgeous astrology taking place this month and it’s even more spectacular since the planets involved can be seen in the night sky.
The two planets which are drawing close in the heavens are Venus, planet of love and money, and Jupiter, planet of opportunity. This conjunction takes place on July 1st.
This is special for you as the planets connect in your opposite sign of Leo ruling your relationships and all one-to-one negotiations. As Jupiter expands what it touches and Venus rules love, for some, this is a highlight of the year with regard to love and relationships. It’s a wonderful day for marriage, a proposal, saying the words I love you.
These two planets not only bless love but all partnerships in general. This is not the time to hold back but instead to declare your true affections, to show your appreciation and to be grateful for the people in your life. It’s a wonderful day to gift someone close, to give a hug, to be supportive. Wear your heart on your sleeve.
What you give out, you receive in return. This is the law of attraction and it’s currently strong in your chart. Being an Aquarius, you’re one of the air signs, logical and rational, yet this is the time to trust your emotions and let your feelings guide you.
Jupiter also rules freedom so the current astrology isn’t only about unity but ensuring that the partnerships you’re in support you. If you’re in a relationship that’s going nowhere for example, this is prime time to let go and move on.
Venus remains in Leo until the 18th and on the 14th of this month Venus is squared by Saturn, your ruling planet. This is the time for a reality check when it comes to love and partnerships. Saturn is the get real planet and this can suggest the end of the road for a key partnership in your life.
Plus this month there is tremendous activity in your opposite sign of Leo so you might be called forth to help others, to support the people close to you. This isn’t a month to put your own wants and needs first but instead to look after the ones you love. This might be out of a sense of duty or responsibility or because you want to show you care.
The final Full Moon in July falls on the 31st and this is an important one for you as it cuts across the Leo/Aquarius axis of your chart. In fact the moon is in your sign of Aquarius. Full Moons are a brilliant time to trust your intuition as the light of the moon is at its brightest and you see your situation with clarity. This is another key date for partnership and a strong date to make an important decision. Work at your relationships and get the balance right.
The other major activity this month takes place in the sign of Cancer, ruling your work, your routine, your health and lifestyle. This sector of your chart is stacked with planets. The Sun is here until the 23rd, Mars, the action planet, remains here all month and both planets are joined by Mercury, the planet of communication, from the 8th until the 23rd.
This is a lively combination, a time when you need to work hard or put extra energy into finding work. In the middle of the month there are negotiations, meetings, interviews that take place. You might be on a health drive, boosting your fitness levels or seeking out more information about a health issue.
Not everything will go according to plan in these areas of your life as there are some key periods when there’s volatile planetary activity in the heavens. This is because all three planets in Cancer clash with the Uranus/Pluto square. The dates to note are the 15th to the 19th and the weekend of the 25th/26th.
The best way to deal with this energy is not to resist change. If things don’t work out, take an alternative route. If you can’t find the information you need, seek help elsewhere. It would be easy at times to get involved in an argument, to lose your temper or find yourself feeling frustrated about your situation.
This is all well and good but do ensure that being provocative creates the results you want and try and be constructive rather than destructive in your actions. This isn’t the easiest of months for your work and career and you might have to fight for your place or position.
You can use the Full and New moons to guide you & signpost your way forward. The Full Moon on July 2nd cuts across the Cancer/Capricorn axis of your chart highlighting your work and health. Full Moons are the time to trust your intuition. There is a knowingness during the Full Moon that can light your way forward.
The New Moon on July 16th falls in Cancer and is a brilliant date to set your intentions and to start over in some way. It’s a good day to apply for a job, to put a new healthy habit in place. New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings.
The other major planetary activity this month is Venus, planet of love, turning retrograde in the heavens on July 25th. Venus remains on go slow until September 6th. Traditionally, this is not the time to marry or have expensive beauty treatments. Venus’ energy turns inward and it’s more a time to reflect, to take the pace of love and life slow.
This is also connected to your relationships and you can’t hurry love at this time. The big moves come earlier in the month and then perhaps it’s a case of having to wait before you make up your mind or you find out what your partner needs or wants.
