Aquarius (20 January – 18 February)
It’s a fast-paced start to the month with both the Sun and communication planet Mercury in speedy Aries.
Aries rules your personal communication sector so this is a lively time for talk, debates, getting things done.

There’s a lively energy at the start of the month which is good news if you’re gathering ideas or knowledge or you’re working alongside other people to arrange a special event.
Aries rules your local community so get out and about close to home whether you have skills to trade, market or sell or you want to find support and advice. Use your local network to good advantage and the same goes for social media. This is a brilliant time to speak up, find out more, to share your knowledge.
The New Moon on the 7th takes place in Aries and this is an important new moon for you because it falls close to your ruling planet Uranus. Look out for good news that comes in on or around the 7th. Be spontaneous and impulsive and reach out to ask a favour or take a risk. Whether you want to teach, speak in public, raise awareness or do something exciting with your life, the 7th-9th is bursting with potential.
Same goes for love and new connections. If there’s someone you want to meet or ask out, the 9th is brilliant. Don’t wait for the other person to contact you, get on the phone or send an email or text and you can make things happen.
Another planet enters Aries this month and that planet is Venus, the planet of love and relating. Venus is in your communication sector from the 5th-30th so don’t hold back on love this month and say what you mean. Be direct, be honest, be loving. Sometimes being an Aquarius, you can detach off from your emotions but that won’t help you now. Share your passion and if you love someone dearly, let them know.
If you’re looking for love, you’re most likely to meet someone new close to home or via an online dating site. Friendship and love is linked this month and the 12th and 18th are brilliant dates to go on a date or to meet someone new.
If you’re in a relationship or married, then have some fun with your other half. If you arrange more social events together, your relationship will spark into life. This is not the time to sit home alone as most of your opportunities will come via other people and when you’re out and about.
Mars is the planet of passion and is currently in Sagittarius and your friendship sector. Yet on the 17th, Mars turns retrograde and will be on go slow for the next 10 weeks. This can indicate difficulties within a friendship or with a group, club or society in which you’re a member.
When Mars is retrograde or on go slow, this can feel frustrating or anger issues arise. It’s not as easy to get what you want and if anything, it’s a time to pull back rather than push forward. Bear this in mind with regard to friends and groups in your life and see where it would benefit you to do less rather than more.
If you’re currently in a situation which does you no favours, e.g. you’re part of a friendship group which makes you feel inadequate or unhappy, be honest with yourself if you’d rather see less of some people and attract a new social group into your life. A personal or group situation is likely to become intense mid-month.
You’re also being pulled back towards the past now as communication planet Mercury enters Taurus and your home and family sector on the 5th. This is about where you’re from and if you’re invited back into your past in any shape or form, it’s worth making the effort to go and see your childhood home, an old friend, family, etc.
In fact the period from the 14th-17th looks especially fertile and productive in this respect. Money and prosperity are linked to your home and family, your past and where you come from. This might be due to a house sale, an inheritance or someone who’s willing to loan you money or fund you for something special.
Same goes if you have funds available and you want to help out someone from your past. The time to consider all these issues and set new plans in place is the mid-month period. This is when there’s a lot going on in the heavens and it’s a powerful time to make new decisions, new rules, new guidelines. If you’re investing in property, improving your home or adding to your family, again this is a good time to do so.
The Full Moon on the 22nd is also powerful for you because it cuts across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of your chart. This highlights your foundations and this is another indication that April is a promising month to put down roots, to focus on family and to ground and secure yourself, both emotionally and financially,
Scorpio rules your career sector so look out for a new work opportunity that comes in on or around the 22nd. This is a powerful time to consider your future and where you’re heading and the Full Moon is a good time of the month to make a major decision.
Being an Aquarius, you enjoy your freedom but you do need to set things up now to hold you safe and secure in the weeks and months ahead. Don’t be afraid of a commitment that ties you in.
On the 28th, communication planet Mercury turns retrograde and it will be trickier after this date to make plans that stick. Don’t put off visiting someone close to you before the 28th if you know the time is right.
