The Past & Letting Go
As May begins, it’s important to recognise what brings you stability or helps you feel grounded in these uncertain times. The Sun is in Taurus at the base of your horoscope until the 20th where it’s joined by Mercury, the planet of communication, until the 11th.
Taurus rules your home and family sector, your past and where you come from. Uranus, your co-ruler, is in this same sector of your horoscope and this isn’t an easy combination.
Taurus is fixed earth and Uranus is the planet of change and unpredictability. If you’ve been feeling unsettled or your home situation is challenging, pay close attention and see what you can do to sort things out.
This may involve letting go or moving on in some way. Jupiter and Pluto are currently in Capricorn and the most hidden sector of your horoscope. They team up with Mercury and the Sun on the 9th/10th, the 15th/17th.
These combinations pull you back towards the past. At the same time, they urge you to break free or release the past in a way that will help you moving forwards.
This may be a time of grief or loss or coming to terms with what’s been and gone. Keep your feet firmly placed on the earth and look at how and where you can put down roots or find more security in your life.
The Full Moon on the 7th is an ideal time to stop and contemplate about your future path. This Full Moon falls in Scorpio and your career and vocation sector. As Full Moons bring clarity, this is an ideal time to make new commitments and trust your intuition in making a key decision regarding your home and your next steps.
Fun & Good Times
Also, this month, there’s a lot of activity in a fellow air sign, Gemini, and this is good news for you. Gemini rules the sector of your horoscope that represents romance, children & pregnancy, creative projects, entertainment and luck.
Obviously, you may not be able to embrace all the pleasures that Gemini promises. Yet, it is important to look on the bright side and make the most of what you do have in your life.
Air signs, like yourself, love connection and interaction with other people. This is what brings you to life. And, you have Venus, the planet of love, in Gemini throughout the month of May. Where can you make merry? Where can you find pleasure and enjoyment?
Mercury is here from the 11th to the 28th and is joined by the Sun on the 20th. Two days later, there’s a stunning New Moon in Gemini on the 22nd, an ideal date for new beginnings, for launching a project, for starting something new.
Keep the lines of communication open throughout May and play around with your skills and talents. You may discover you’re a natural home-teacher or find that you have a flair for writing or podcasting or making people laugh. Actively embrace more of what you love.
A Shift In Pace
Mid-month brings a shift in pace, a change in direction. Some countries may come out of lockdown mid-month. You are one of the star signs for which there’s more movement, more options available. Yes, you need to be adaptable and flexible but go with the flow and see where life leads.
Your traditional planet, Saturn, turns retrograde in Aquarius on the 11th and two days later action planet Mars leaves your star sign Aquarius. Therefore, you may find that the focus is less on you and more on other people.
Perhaps, you’re able to do more and not feel so alone. Or, maybe you recognise that you want or need to be more engaged with others. Let go of the things that aren’t working out and be open to new opportunities.
Money Matters
Mid-month could be the time when you realise you need to sort out your finances and fast. Mars leaves Aquarius and enters Pisces and your personal money sector on the 13th where it remains until the end of June.
As this coincides with Venus’ retrograde phase from May 13th to June 25th, the two areas are linked. You might feel more ambitious because you recognise what you can and can’t afford. You may decide that hoping for things to work out isn’t as effective as taking action.
Or perhaps, it’s because of another person’s actions that you’re galvanised into picking up the pace. Either way, it’s time to be pro-active when it comes to money, whether out of necessity or a desire to do more.
As a humanitarian star sign, you’re usually more than willing to share what you have. Mars’ move into Pisces could coincide with a self-sacrificing act or a new initiative that enables you to raise funds for a deserving charity.
