Aquarius (21 January – 18 February)
March is an important month for you because your co-ruler Uranus, the planet of innovation and unpredictability, is on the move. This is significant because Uranus remains in one star sign for approximately seven years.
Since 2011, Uranus has been in Aries and your ideas and communication sector. This has been about your network, your social media presence, your community, your neighbourhood. You might have been trading, selling or marketing and it’s a time when information is valuable. Aries rules your siblings and your mode of transport.
On the 6th, Uranus leaves Aries and won’t be back for another 84 years. The landscape’s changing and events early March may signify an important turning point in your own life.
You could be racing forward at top speed, whether you’re busy with documentation and bureaucracy or you have 101 things to do. There’s an urgency about important matters in the first few days of the month. Perhaps, you’re switching off social media, speaking your mind once and for all or, in some other way in your life, flexing your rebel muscles.
Before you get carried away, however, it’s important to note that this is a month to practise patience and there are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, Uranus leaves Aries on the 6th but it’s not until the 20th that the Sun picks up the baton and enters Aries on the day of the Equinox.
This symbolises a fresh start. Plus, the following day on the 21st, there’s a Full Moon that cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac. Full Moons bring clarity and you see your situation clearly.
The Aries/Libra axis represents learning and knowledge, adventure and exploration. It’s linked to legal matters, publishing, the media and belief systems. If you have something important to say, do your research and bide your time until this powerful Full Moon.
Even then, it’s important to note that, for the majority of March, communication planet, Mercury, is on go slow. Mercury turns retrograde on the 5th and direct on the 28th. Traditionally, Mercury retrograde is not the time to make a major decision or initiate action. Instead, notice what happens, log your opportunities and find out more. Think of this as the research or planning stage.
Mercury is on go slow in Pisces and your personal money sector. This is potentially a big month for money matters. Certainly, there’s a build up of astrological activity in this sector of your horoscope which peaks at the New Moon on the 6th.
This New Moon pulls in Neptune, Pisces’ ruling planet and Neptune has been in your personal money sector since 2012. On the plus side, this is a creative influence and visualisation or manifestation goals may have worked well for you. On the minus side, Neptune is a slippery influence so perhaps you’ve fallen prey to deceitful or untrustworthy individuals.
The slippery side of Neptune is pronounced this month as Neptune connects with retrograde Mercury on the 24th. In fact, these two planets remain very close throughout the last month of March and into the first week in April.
Therefore, proceed with caution when it comes to money and be wary of scams or any deal that sounds too good to be true. With Mercury on go slow, things are hidden and the truth only emerges once Mercury turns direct.
Also, your traditional ruler, Saturn, teams up with key planets in Pisces on the 9th, 14th and 20th. This is about putting boundaries and guidelines in place that serve you well. It’s another indication to slow things down and not rush into any money or cash decisions.
Be creative – yes; explore new money-making opportunities and ideas. Don’t, however, rush into things and wait until the last week in March before you take action.
One area of your life that is in the ascendancy this month is love. This is because you have the love planet Venus in your star sign, Aquarius, from the 1st until the 26th. Admittedly, you might need to negotiate a few hurdles with Mercury on go slow. Even so, it’s a wonderful month to give yourself up to love.
The peak date is the 21st when Venus teams up with expansive Jupiter. This planetary combination links love and friendship and luck is on your side.
Finally, this month, it’s important to note where Uranus, your co-ruler is heading. On the 6th, Uranus enters star sign Taurus, where it will remain until 2026. The first thing to note is that this is a mis-match of planetary energy. Uranus rules change and Taurus is fixed and stubborn and doesn’t want to be moved.
In your horoscope, Taurus rules your home and family, your past and where you come from. You may already know where these areas of life are flexible or shifting. Sometimes, when Uranus is active, external events step in to bring about change.
This key event does suggest you’re at the start of a new chapter in your life when it comes to home and family life. It’s likely that you won’t be in the same place in seven years time that you are now as Uranus is a restless influence.
This month, action planet Mars is also in Taurus, where it remains until the 31st. Therefore, this seems to be a significant area of your life right now, for one reason or another. You’re wise to focus on your home and family, even if you’re not ready to rush into a decision.
Earth signs, like Taurus, crave security. You might be settled for now but you probably already sense where the winds of change are blowing.
2/18/1962 single Mom of 2. 1 in college and 1 at home who has Down syndrome. 2 elderly parents, 1 distant 1/2 sister who lives on the other coast from me. No close friends (Aqua issues) This Uranus transit has really shook me up.
May 15th 2018, I was fired from my job as a staffing manager for a Staffing Agency for being accused by a woman who is younger than I of “age discrimination”
August 7th I started PT for Lymphedema and started gaining a lot of weight because of the limited movement.
September 19th I finally found a new job at 1/2 the salary. Office Manager.
October 30th, we found out that the company was sold to another organization.
Feb 29th I find out that it is NOT Lymphedema but a tumor. I had been arguing with my PCP for 1 1/2 years that there was something else wrong with my leg and he would not listen. After I pissed him off enough, he sent me to a surgeon. The Surgeon did not think anything was wrong with my leg but said: “just to ease your mind I’ll send you for a CT”. ON the 29th he personally called me to say, that he was wrong and that he was sending me to an Oncologist Surgeon to have a large tumor removed. I will probably lose the use of my left leg.
Budget cuts at the company. We are joined with another branch and there is an AA and OM at each branch. For our 2 offices, they only need the 2 AA’s and one OM. They don’t realize that yet (and I am not telling), but they will soon. I’m the last one in, I’ll be the first one out.
Surgery is not scheduled yet. I meet with the oncologist on the 7th.
I am asking my son to ask his friends who still live here to take care of my Down Syndrome daughter while I am in surgery. I will have to take a taxi to the city. Pretty lousy.
Sending you very best wishes, Teresa. You deserve some good news & good luck more than most.
I find all of your astrological views on my sign resonate so strongly with me, Sally, and I also love listening to your podcast but find it a shame I don’t see it prior to the dates you mention in it. Is there any way they could be seen prior to the month they’re published online?
At the moment, we post them a couple of days before the astrology begins – you can subscribe to Radio Public, for example, and will be notified when there’s a new episode. I’ll talk to Christina and see if we can get the podcast up a week before? That might be possible. Thank you 🙂
