Aquarius Horoscope October 2023

Up until the 23rd, the Sun is in your fellow air sign Libra. Plus, talk planet Mercury is in this same sector of your horoscope from the 5th to the 22nd and action planet Mars is in Libra up until the 12th.

Traditionally, this is a time when you’re keen to travel and broaden your horizons. Libra rules study, learning and knowledge in your horoscope and any activity that sources you and brings meaning to your life. You may be keen to study something new or be on a spiritual path. Or, perhaps you embrace a new religion or faith.

With key planets in Libra, you want something more from life than the every-day. You might be exploring new beliefs or your philosophy on life. You could be interested in the workings of the mind or the mysteries of the world. Make a determined effort to expand your mind, body and soul.

Solar Eclipse

Also powerful this month, there’s a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra on the 14th. This is the second eclipse in a new eclipse cycle which completes in March 2025. The first took place on April 20th. Therefore, the two dates may be linked.

This eclipse cycle highlights the star signs Aries and Libra. Therefore, it’s about learning and education for you and making the most out of life. A Solar Eclipse accelerates growth. Events could turn on the flick of a dime, as the wheel of fortune leads you in a new direction.

Yet, something may come to an end on or around the eclipse. This has a lot to do with the fact that the slowest-moving planet Pluto turns direct on the 11th, three days before the eclipse. Plus, Pluto is pulled into the eclipse pattern.

Pluto dipped its toe into your star sign Aquarius earlier this year from March to June. Now, there’s unfinished business as Pluto has returned to Capricorn and the most hidden sector of your horoscope. This is linked to the past, your karma, your inner self. Be vigilant about your thoughts and don’t let negativity take hold. 

On the 21st, both the Sun and talk planet Mercury are square to Pluto, which may be a date when you have to say no rather than yes. Sometimes, you’re wise to shut a door in life completely, so you can start afresh and move on to a new adventure.

Do make the most of your opportunities this month and don’t be your own worst enemy. Notice who’s holding you back or what’s not working out. It might be that a new opportunity can’t begin or you’re unable to embrace the freedom you crave, until you let go or say goodbye to the past.

Scorpio Season

From mid-month onwards, it’s all going on at the peak of your horoscope. This is because powerful planetary activity is taking place in Scorpio and your career and vocation sector. Here’s what’s happening:

• Mercury (communication) – from October 22nd
• Sun (identity) – from October 23rd

Scorpio is a busy sector of your horoscope from mid-month onwards. Turn your gaze towards your future path and consider where in life you’re being called to step up or take on a new role. Scorpio is one of the star signs linked to power. It represents the transformative path in life, a powerful time of regeneration.

Action planet Mars and talk planet Mercury in Scorpio ensure that the emphasis on your career and vocation, your future path remains hot. Keep the fires stoked and don’t take your eye off what’s happening.

These two planets come together on the 29th, an ideal date to walk (Mars) your talk (Mercury). Or, do (Mars) what you say (Mercury). Be bold and courageous, quick-witted and persuasive. Both planets oppose Jupiter in Taurus at the base of your horoscope on the 28th & 29th. These combinations feel dramatic, adventurous and freedom-loving.

Lunar Eclipse

At the same time, there’s a powerful Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus on the 28th. This is the final eclipse in an eclipse cycle which began in November 2021. This eclipse cuts across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac and the foundations of your horoscope.

Eclipses often coincide with significant change. You may be on the move during the eclipse. Perhaps, you’re leaving home or transitioning to a new domestic situation.

This may be a turning point for your career or future direction and eclipses often coincide with the unexpected. There could be a clear divide between your home life and ambition, your past and your future. Consider what’s completing in your life that began two years ago.

Rest of the Month’s Astrology

Eclipses suggest a hectic month when change is foreground. Yet, there are some closures or completions taking place as October begins. They are not to be dismissed and are equally significant.

Firstly, the planet of love and relating Venus leaves your opposite star sign Leo on the 9th after a long four month stay. Venus turned retrograde in Leo, taking you on a journey into the underworld. It may have been a passionate time for you, perhaps resurrecting a love from the past.

Or, you may have discovered a lot about yourself and what you want when it comes to love and relationships. Ideally, Venus’ journey through Leo has encouraged you to love yourself first. Now, it may be time to move on.

Plus, talk planet Mercury leaves Virgo on the 5th where it turned retrograde in August and September. This is your cue to get finances straight and deal with any outstanding money issues. If love, emotions and money have been intertwined in a complicated relationship, get things sorted as the month begins.
