Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction
This promises to be a huge month for you as the epic Jupiter-Saturn conjunction falls at 0 degrees Aquarius on the 21st. This is the start of a new era, a new astrological wave and it has your name written all over it.
Firstly, however, the emphasis is on the star sign Sagittarius, up until the 21st, the day of the Solstice and the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction. The Sun is here until the 21st and talk planet Mercury is in Sagittarius from the 1st to the 20th.
This sector of your horoscope rules your friends and group activities and this is a good time of year to be more social, even if that means online. You are one of the air signs after all and people and connections are important to you.
Solar Eclipse
Also, there’s a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Gemini on the 14th. This follows on from the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius on November 30th. Both eclipses are linked to social events, groups and your place within society.
This is part of an eclipse cycle that began in June 2020 and completes in July 2020. Eclipses often coincide with the unexpected and they tend to bring what’s hidden to light. They’re neither good nor bad but they do shift the dynamics and change things around.
You could leave a group on or around the 14th or be caught up in a dramatic situation regarding a friend. Yet, the New Moon eclipse is great for new opportunities coming your way.
Notice who turns up in your life on or around this date. This could be the start of a great new friendship or the beginning of a new passion that’s linked to your role within society and the collective.
Jupiter-Saturn Aquarius
Focus on your hopes and wishes this month and keep your eyes firmly focused on your future goals. Dream big and back this up with a solid plan. This is the key theme of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction.
Jupiter represents growth and opportunity, your dreams and vision. Whereas, your ruling planet Saturn knows how to work hard, draw up the business plan and turn dreams into reality.
Jupiter takes approximately twelve years to circuit the zodiac so think back twelve years, the previous time that Jupiter was in your star sign Aquarius.
This can be a lucky planetary transit when you find yourself in the right place at the right time. Or, you’re ready to put challenging times or personal issues behind you and embrace a new future.
When Jupiter’s in full flow, you want to see the world and save the world. Jupiter rules travel, education, spirituality, philosophy and philanthropic activities. Jupiter rewards bold behaviour and loves the free spirit, the explorer, the entrepreneur, the lover of life.
Jupiter rules truth and justice so be true to your beliefs, live life to the full and make the most of this exciting astrology. And, with your planet Saturn closely connected to Jupiter, this requires balance and an ability to plan for the future, to take the necessary steps so you reach your chosen goal.
When planets are in your star sign, the focus is on your image and profile, your body and well-being, your personal goals and aims. Aquarius, your star sign, rules the collective, the society we live in and at its best favours equality, collaboration and community ventures. Everyone matters in Aquarius’ humanitarian, ethical realm.
You may be stepping into a leadership role or feel more passionate about making a difference out in the world. You might have encountered an experience this year that reminds you that life is short and to embrace all of life when have the opportunity.
Retreat & Freedom
This major conjunction coincides with the Sun and Mercury moving into Capricorn and both planets team up with your co-ruler Uranus. The key dates are the 25th & 28th.
This combination promises freedom, putting the past behind you and letting go in some way so you can move on. This might be linked to your home and family or the place you live.
It’s a good time of year to hibernate or take time out, to be quiet and still. Throughout December, you’re advised to balance more social times with time for yourself.
You may sense that you’re on the verge of a big year in your own life. Slow things down first before you leap into action. Ensure you prepare yourself well.
Hello again Sally. As I said in my previous post to you, I’m looking forward to a change for the better with this planetary activity, and although recent circumstances have made it virtually impossible for me to move to Spain before Brexit, I am still going to try and join my son over there. This brings me to my question for you: he was born on the cusp of Capricorn with his Sun at 0 degrees 2’ 51”, so am I correct in thinking that the shift of Jupiter and of Saturn will have significant impact upon him?
Interestingly, being on the cusp of Aquarius and Pisces myself, I seem to get on with other cusp people (including my son) particularly well…
May I also say that I’ve started listening to your chats with Christina (another of my go-to astrologers!) and I really enjoy them, although I have to listen in “chunks”, as finding a whole hour to concentrate on them is difficult at present. Thank you as always – your writing style is always very readable and accessible, and I look forward to every new post with anticipation.
Thanks Rachel 🙂 Yes, Saturn changing star sign is significant as it’s Capricorn’s ruling planet – moving into his money sector from a solar perspective. The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction makes a minor aspect to his natal Sun, so also nice – maybe good for him either financially or with regard to the things he values in live. Good luck on the move – I feel you – I’m wanting to move out to Greece but have missed the Brexit cut off. Will see what 2021 brings 🙂

Hi Sally, my name is paramjit kaur and i gave one job interview yesterday, do you think i will get it. my sign is aquarius.
The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius promises new beginnings – it kicks in next week. Good luck.
Hi! I have just discovered you from someone who posted on Facebook. I am so anticipating the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction on my 1 degree Aquarius Sun in my first house. The 8 degree Gemini eclipse will exactly conjunct my Moon in the 5th. I’m wondering how this will all play out considering we are experiencing pandemic lockdown. Looking forward to reading more from you. Thank you!
hi Judy, the Gemini eclipse took place on November 30th so you may already have some idea of what this means for you? The 5th house rules romance, children, entertainment, creativity – maybe something being ‘eclipses’, i.e. a disappointment in these areas. The Gemini/Sagittarius eclipse cycle (June 2020 to Dec 2021) is definitely having an impact on travel (Sagittarius) and education (Gemini) and not in a good way. But yes, the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction is pivotal for you – think about how this might be a 20 year chapter opening up, what do you want to commit to, where do you want to expand your life and how is that possible? The 1st house rules your personal goals & aims and Aquarius is linked to your place within society, the collective. Hope that helps 🙂
Hello dear Sally, I thoroughly enjoy reading your monthly forecast. They are inspiring and filled with wisdom. I am grateful for your writings. My sun is Aquarius(7Aqu,14’,58”), with a potent moon in Pisces and strong ascendant in Leo. I am feeling weary coupled with fear for this great astrological event on the Solstice. My Jupiter is 23 Cancer and my Saturn is 20 Scorpio. Maybe it’s the distress and challenge of this last year for this undercurrent of worry and fear. And having entered my 65th birthday in January I felt elated and filled with hope but with the pandemic everything changed. I hope and trust to feel some lightness with this Jupiter Saturn conjunction. What is your perspective? Kindest regards.
I think it is worth being hopeful. Things aren’t going to change overnight but we are going to be moving in the right direction as long as everyone doesn’t expect life to go back to normal. With the shift in Aquarius, there will start to be a step in the direction of a more equal society. I’m posting articles this week that will reveal more 🙂 Sending best wishes.
Hello Sally,
Thank you so much for the excellent read; the month of December, as any Aquarius would, brings many mixed feelings, primarily Happy and optimistic ones! I feel like Saturn, my signs ancient ruler, and my planetary ruler, Jupiter, will indeed bless me for the dedication and devotion I’ve put into this year (as a college student taking classes all through-out covid, dealing with a house fire in October, discrimination in my workplace, the list is endless!).
Lately, I’ve been having quite a few “coincidental” moments surrounding me and the legal battles I’m engaged in (I’m the plaintiff, haha)! I spoke with a lawyer who decided to represent me on the day of the Eclipse on the 14th (where it landed in my natal 9th House in Capricorn), where they agreed to represent me in my claim that’s been mulling for about a year, so I’m ecstatic! The next big date (that again… lined up outside of my control) is my actual mediation, which occurs on the 21st of December, starting at 10:30.
I am an Aquarius Sun (10’40), Pisces Moon (14’55), and Gemini Rising (11’29).
To my eyes, the only significant transits I’ve had through this have been both transit Jupiter and Saturn in conjunction with my natal Neptune in Capricorn, located in the Ninth House. On the 14th, both were less than 1.2 degrees applying to my Neptune.
Jupiter will conjunct with Neptune on December 19th and Saturn will conjunct my Neptune on December 17th.
On the 21st, at 10:30 AM, to be precise, transit Jupiter conjunct Saturn will occur in my Ninth House, and both will be in conjunction with my natal Mercury (in the Eighth House) 4.9 degrees and Neptune at 0.4 degrees, respectively.
I’m so sorry to hit you with a wall of text, but I’d love to see what your take on everything is! Any advice or forewarning about astrological pitfalls is appreciated!
-Harrison Clark
Thanks Harrison. A bit tricky to say without looking at the whole horoscope. With Neptune you do have to be careful of underhand dealings but otherwise the timing does feel quite amazing. Jupiter is the legal planet and linked to the 9th house where you find the Law. Saturn is the authority and can bring matters to completion. So, seems promising – sending best wishes.
