Mars & Saturn
Mars, the planet of action, is in your star sign Aquarius throughout April. This puts the emphasis on your personal goals and aims, your image and profile. Mars is the physical planet so it’s a good month to prioritise your health and fitness.
Yet, as April begins, Mars and Saturn are close together in the zodiac, both in your star sign. They made an exact conjunction on March 31st and remain within orb until the 11th.
This can feel tough, weighty, a burden. Mars is speedy and fast, whereas Saturn is slow and steady. Immediately, there’s a mismatch of planetary energies fighting against one another.
So, pace yourself as the month begins and do whatever you can not to slip into negativity. Keep upbeat, be determined and dig deep. If you are starting April confronted with personal issues or challenges, know that once Mars moves away from Saturn, then you’ll have more motivation and energy.
Mars in Aquarius is the activist and some of you may be on the frontline within society, as Mars’ nature is courageous and bold.
Aries & Communication
Also, in April, there’s strong emphasis on the fire sign Aries and your communication sector. The Sun’s here until the 19th and talk planet Mercury is in Aries from the 11th to the 27th. Therefore, it’s important to reach out to others, to connect, talk and brainstorm new ideas.
Aries rules siblings and neighbours in your horoscope, also your local community. These are the areas of your life to be active in, to take the initiative and make things happen. This is positive astrology for writing and speaking, especially online.
Aquarius, your star sign, represents society and community, collaborative ventures and future trends. Some of you may be at the forefront of new inventions, new ways of benefiting our society. Be aware that what you put in place this month can take off big-time in 2021.
The Full Moon on the 8th is a powerful one for you as it cuts across the learning and education sectors of your horoscope. You may choose to study something new, to update your skills or qualifications. Keep your eye on the future and do what you can to stay connected and keep learning.
Gemini Joy
You’ll be one of the star signs seeking fun, enjoyment and pleasure this month, no doubt in creative ways. This is because Venus, the planet of love and relating, art and beauty, moves into your fellow air sign, Gemini, on the 3rd.
Venus remains here until August 7th, an unusually long time for Venus to be in one sector of the zodiac. This is because Venus turns retrograde, i.e. will be on go slow next month.
For now, Venus is urging you to seek pleasure in life. Gemini rules romance in your horoscope, children and pregnancy, creative projects, entertainment and luck. The 4th is a stand out date in this respect when Venus connects with your ruling planet Saturn in Aquarius. Plan something special.
The weekends in April are important for you to reach out and connect with others. The 11th, 18th & 19th have lively astrology, so make the most of this and be the one to initiate new ways of staying in touch.
The emphasis on fire signs – Aries – and air signs – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius – throughout April taps into the extrovert side of your nature. If you’re finding self-isolation hard-going, even more reason to keep your mind and brain active and stay social.
Uranus & Adapting
There is some challenging astrology taking place this month, partly to do with your home and family and your connection to the past. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, Uranus, your co-ruler is now in Taurus at the base of your horoscope.
Uranus brings change, sometimes the unexpected. On the 7th, Mars clashes with Uranus and this could be when tempers flare. You may feel especially frustrated on or around this date. Take care that you don’t take it out on people at home and try and channel your anger/passion into a positive outlet.
Uranus is a key player later in the month as it joins the Sun in Taurus on the 26th and Mercury in Taurus on the 31st (May 1st in some countries). There’s emphasis on your home and family sector in April from the 19th onwards, peaking at the New Moon on the 23rd.
This may mean you’re the one getting creative and bringing excitement and new ideas to your home and family. Normally, you’d be on the move under these stars or changing your family set up in some way.
Jupiter Pluto Conjunction
Yet, this is also about being pulled back to the past. The Jupiter-Pluto conjunction on the 5th falls in the most hidden sector of your horoscope which often relates to what’s been and gone.
These two major planetary influences connect two more times in 2020 on June 30th and November 12th. They can take you down to the depths. Pluto rules self-analysis and this is about your inner world. For some of you, it may be a time of release, loss or letting go.
Ideally with this combination, it’s important to pursue a spiritual path, to find your religion or faith. This is the philosopher, seeking meaning beyond the self and the everyday. Events on or around the 14th/15th and 25th/26th could reveal where your challenges lie.
Try not to over-react or speak your mind if this won’t help your current situation or will have repercussions or consequences in your life.
Sometimes, it’s best to say less not more. This may be especially relevant for you with regard to your close relationships, on the 21st and the 26th, key dates for love.
